   First of all, do not get the oysters, the cocktail sauce is terrible and made me sick. Second of all they changed their menu does not like it used to be in the food quality has gone down dramatically. Wouldn’t recommend going here.

   First we ordered appetizers. The fried calamari seemed to have been “re-fried.” Extremely crispy. There were more crumbs/fried breading than there was actual calamari. My friend ordered a fish dish. The fish was tough and over cooked. We asked for shrimp cocktail. They were out. The place was practically empty and our server rarely showed up to check on us. We had empty drinks more than filled drinks. This is a SEAFOOD restaurant. We expected the seafood to be prepared well. It was not. We’ve given this place two chances. Disappointed both times. We will not be back.

   Seafood was excellent but steaks need some attention. Waiter was not very attentive to us. We had to ask for eating utensils. He didn't tell us they were out of au gratin potatoes and offer anything else. Hopefully he was new and will get better.

   Super nice and reasonable prices, great seafood and drink specials. Anika is the Best Server, very nice, always smiling and very knowledgeable of the menu. She’s Awesome!!! We Love eating here!

   The mariachi music from the kitchen was louder than the dining room music. I would expect better from a place of this caliber.

   It was an ok experience. Our server was very overwhelmed. It was freezing in the restaurant which made our food ( when it finally came out) get cold quick. For the money I expected more and it was so so in quality.

   Amazing oysters, incredible service. I had the scallops and best I’ve ever had. Our server was knowledgeable (like oyster expert) attentive and fast. We will be back!!

   Excellent food and atmosphere. Very convenient to Fieldhouse. We used valet parking which was super easy. Ethan was an excellent waiter. Will definitely return.

   We were going to a concert at Gainbridge and thought we might have a nice quiet dinner at an upscale restaurant nearby to Gainbridge, and Pier48 is right across the street! When I went to make reservations the closest time to the concert start was 4:30pm. When we arrived there were only 2 table being used and about 8 people at the bar. When we left, about 6:00, there were still many many tables empty. Why we had to be there so early is a mystery unless it's Pier48 protocol to pretend tables are filled? In any case our waiter was new, and although nice, he was clearly not sure of the menu/food offerings. The menu had several sandwich and fries type of entrees ad only a few upscale items. Also, the menu said one thing, and what we received was different. Not bad, just different. The Mrs. had scallops, and she offered one to me, and what I had was barely fried on the outside, and soft and kinda gooey on the inside. I had the ribeye and it came out as ordered, med. rare, but the outside of the steak had some kind of spice that was meant to be spicey but not a good flavor. To finish off the meal we ordered coffee and the banana bread pudding. The size of the dish was huge, and was well plated, but it certainly was not bread pudding. it was a firm banana bread cut in two wedges, with a dollop of ice cream and some whip cream between the two wedges. There was a slice of a banana on top with a caramel drip on it. Again, not bad but A) not something we would order again, and B) not what we ordered. I was embarassed as I had told the my wife that Pier48 was upscale and she dressed the part. However, she was the only person in the place wearing a dress. Nothing but t-shirts and jeans. Even the waiters were wearing jeans. I wear jeans all the time but I thought we were going upscale! Now we know, Pier48 is a great location for a place to get a burger before a Gainbridge event, and although not a cheap date, certainly not upscale. My mistake.
