Great food, pleasant venue and outstanding location looking out on the wetlands area of lake Wendouree and opposite spectacular gardens. High;ly recommended!

Went to Pipers by the Lake for breakfast to meet up with friends. The food was fantastic & service was great. We all enjoyed our food & would go back again.

My 2 guests enjoyed their chicken burger however my choice of pumpkin soup was very disappointing. Gritty, watery, and did not use fresh garlic. After giving restaurant feedback on Thai Beef Salad previous week as beef strips were all grissly and fatty the only reason I booked Saturday for my Melbourne friends was they brought their dog and the venue is great for pets. Next time I will order a toasted sandwich as you can't go wrong with that and will suggest my friends avoid the 2 items I referred to.

Spacious environment with ample spacing, polite staff and a nice varied lunch menu with good specials options. A good location with parking outside at the time we visited and of course prime position for a lake view. Table service was timely and friendly, the food was really good and we felt represented good value for the cost.

Table was prepared beautifully for us but we waited longer than necessary to be seated; we waited far too long for our order to be taken but everything else was great! The hot chocolate and food was amazing and a great variety for breakfast or lunch.

Location is handy, bring by the lakeside and across the Gardens. I’ve been here before (pre-COVID), and have also liked the place then!

we went on a busy father’s day lunch, the staff were all lovely and the food was very nice. the prices weren’t too bad, for the 2 of us was around $60 for food and drinks. would definitely come back, very fair prices especially for being around the lake everything is usually much more expensive.
