   Always an authentic experience! The service and the food are amazing. Pisco y Nazca Ceviche Gastrobar is my go-to when dinning in Reston.

   I brought my best friend here to celebrate her birthday. We decided to come earlier than our original reservation for 7pm and were able to make the change with no problems. We sat at a high top in the bar area. The restaurant was dimly lit with Peruvian inspired decor. We started with Diego who gave us an excellent overview of the menu and drinks. We opted for a mezcal peachy drink (Smoke was in the title) and WOWZA! It was the perfect blend of sweet & spice! We started with the traditional fried corn snack, ceviche and the tostones sampler. The ceviche was good but there was too much liquid which made the few plantain chips we received soggy. We asked for more but they never came out. The Tostones sampler was honestly the best decision I’ve made in a while. The crab and shredded pork were my favorite they were well portioned and bursting with flavor. We decided to share an entree and with the recommendation from Diego which was the pescado a la macho. I thought it was just ok in comparison to the starters. I was actually disappointed in the white rice being served with it and felt that the dish might be easier to eat and enjoy the full flavors if it were served in a bowl rather than a plate because the sauce spread all over the plate but didn’t soak the food. The calamari was bland and the dish wasn’t very flavorful either. For desert we tried the chefs special of carrot cake and that was really disappointing. There was far too much nutmeg, not enough frosting and dry. Joseph brought out the Peruvian cookies for my friend’s birthday treat and we loved those! We asked about brunch and plan to return soon to try it!

   Ion was amazing! Very attentive, made good recommendations and made sure all our food came out so nothing was missed.

   Lots of good options for a mixed crowd of tastes. Waiter explained the menu thoroughly. It does get very dark at 5pm if that bothers you.

   This was our second try at this restaurant, after a poor experience during the first. Initial contact with waitstaff to take drink orders took over 15 minutes from being seated. The drinks came 15 minutes later, which was after the appetizer was finished. If looking for Peruvian cuisine, Inca Social in Merrifield is a better option.

   Very different menu with too many things that sounded good. My wife had the chicken stew and I had a dish with an assortment of seafood in a creamy, slightly spicy sauce. Both were very good. We will have to return to try other of the dishes.

   First visit and we will be back! We arrived early and enjoyed a cocktail in the bar. The bartender explained the origins of the cuisine and recommended excellent drinks for our group. Moved to our table and had an excellent experience for the next 2 hours. We tried several different ceviches and chaufas, as well as a noodle dish. Highly recommend!

   Lisandro was an excellent server, all of his recommendations were solid and we would definitely come back! We got the brunch prie fixe with the Chicken Empanadas (8/10), Crepes de Aji (9/10), Alfajor Pancakes (packed it up because we ate so much), Ceviche Callejero (6/10), tostenes sampler (7/10), Lomo Salgado (8/10) and the Alfajores (8/10).
