Food and service were very good. The interior is really light and inviting. The only criticism would be to serve lettuce wraps with different lettuce

Not authentic Chinese food. Country music playing. Very bright lights. Service was fine. Food did not have any taste. Donuts given at the end were thoughtful but very dense.

Beautiful decor inside the restaurant. No warm and inviting welcome at front of restaurant. Staff very unsure of what to do. Hostess never smiled once while we were there. We sat outside. Nice setting . Location of restaurant is one of the best areas of the mall. Beatrice was a nice server. Our entrees came before we were even done with appetizers. Noted that to happen to other diners as well. Appetizers were good: duck confit tacos, lobster/shrimp rangoons and cheeseburger dumplings. Entrees had to be left to the imagination as to being Chinese dishes: dirty fried rice, Dan Dan noodles and general Tao. Shame on management for not mingling some experienced staff in with all new inexperienced servers. Will not be returning anytime soon as going out for dinner is not an inexpensive event these days and will go to other restaurants that have higher standards of being run. Completely disappointed in experience.

We were underwhelmed with the food. There were 3 of us in our party and only one said they would return. All our food came out at once, soup, appetizers and main courses. There wasn’t enough space on the table. The scallops were tasteless. One guest said their wine was good.

This restaurant offers a new take on the type of Chinese food we are used to. We knew this going in and agreed to be somewhat adventurous. We started out sharing Lobster and Shrimp Rangoon and Duck Confit tacos. Both were excellent. We followed up with the Peking Duck which was large enough for 2 to share (we wished the duck was cut in more consistent pieces) and an order of their Pad Thai. Everyone thought the food was very good. We stayed away from their signature cocktails but we had Vodka on the rocks and bottles of Xing Tau beer. Our server, Katie, was attentive and her recommendations were excellent. We will definitely goo back to sample more of the small plates and Dim Sum.

2nd time my wife and I have been here since the opening of this new restaurant. I come back because the food is well prepared, tastes fantastic and the ambience is perfect. This is the best Chinese restaurant around here. Started by the guy that founded PF Changs, grew it then sold it for a plethora of cash to Dardens. This is a superior version of PF Changs. Go! Enjoy yourself. And cut some slack to the staff that’s still learning.

Our first dining experience at PJK! A special wedding anniversary! We had reservations, but went to the bar first for cocktails. The bar was soaking wet and sticky liquid running off the edge! “Please, can you clean this up?”, we asked. The bartenders had NO paper towels or dry cloth towels! No paper bar napkins for our iced drinks, either… just cute little non-absorbent coasters with Kolton doggiy pix on it…very wet and sloppy experience… had to go to the ladies room to get paper towels so we could continue..used these bathrooms paper towels at dinner, too..We should have been seated at a booth, but instead, were plunked down at a table set for 4 in the middle of the dining room. Very noisy; service was rushed and extremely impersonal. We were excited to try the Peking Duck. Had not had it since Chinatown in London a few years ago…While the flavor of the duck was excellent, where were the paper thin pancakes? Where was the abundance of hoisin sauce? The scallions were shredded/ curled and just ok… do not order Peking Duck, as the chewy little triangular PJK bready substitute (and inadequate in #) ) for the traditional pancakes will leave you as disappointed as we were. The manager acknowledged our angst and we were compensated, rightfully so. I really feel embarrassed because we gave good friends PJK gift certificates for Christmas, based on all the wonderful reviews we read about the Naples PJK. Hopefully, policies and procedures will improve at this location because we really need a good Chinese experience in Estero! We’ll give them a month and then make another attempt. Best advice if you go now? Bring a good supply of paper cocktail napkins and dinner napkins, and go for the other items on the menu (not the Peking Duck, until they can “make it right” !)
