You’ll find Plate at No. 6 down a cobbled lane in the heart of Windsor, nestled amongst the pubs and boutiques of the old town. We are a tapas restaurant, drawing upon the culinary riches of the Mediterranean Basin; our plates reflect the diversity of cuisines found in Spain, Turkey, France, Morocco, Italy, Greece and Lebanon. All our dishes are created by our head chef Olindo who draws on these inspirations his signature dishes including a seafood gnocchi.

The open kitchen and lime wash walls define the chic, intimate dining space of Plate at No.6. Our famous Mediterranean warmth and relaxed ambience welcomes work mates and first dates, quiet drinks, and family celebrations.

A selection of wines have been selected by Sicilian sommelier and Italian wine expert Virgilio Gennaro and cocktails are designed by Regan Fernandes to compliment the fresh, coastal flavours that will revolve around seasonal and local availability. The only thing you’ll find in our freezer will be ice cream.

Great food and service but had to be moved table before dessert which was really annoying. Management did offer us a discount which was good. Definitely would recommend

Friendly staff but very young and inexperienced. Food was lovely and had gluten free options but it was my birthday and even tho I had mentioned that at the booking, no acknowledgment. 15% service charge, too much plus extra on top, no mention on the menu. Disappointed.

Positives first: they were very understanding of and flexible about our late arrival (taxi problems). It wasn't the restaurant's fault that there was a very group next to us - but in such a small space there was no escaping the noise. Nothing special about the decor, but generally the place is very cramped (see above). Service very slow- we had to chase just to get menus. Largely because of the noise, we decided not to stay long and only ordered 3 plates between us. We had to send the anchovies back, the chorizo was fairly bland, the taramasalata was fine. We won't be returning.

The second time we have been here and once again the evening was a good one. The guys that run the place are extremely efficient, albeit very young (you will see when you go!) Wine list is brilliant with some fabulous high enders if wanting to splash out. The Sardinian and Lebanese offerings are great and less pricey. Food wise it is all pretty much on a par and would totally recommend Chorizo/Prawns/Triple cooked Patas Bravas/Croquettes/Greek salads and albondigas. This is not a low budget affair and a meal for 3 with 2 G&T's maybe 6 plates and some wine comes in @ around 175.00 (inc service) That said, if you have your G&T's at home first you are looking at 150.00. Don't be put off by the prices and have a taste!
