   Originally had planned for a quick Happy Hour, but after reading the menu...we opted for a full dinner. Pasta Bolognese and Sausage Pizza. Extraordinary tastes.

   Wow, this is bad. They seem to be attempting to make up for bad food by faking high end restaurant attributes. My second time there and same assessment.

   We ordered the truffle gnocchi as an appetizer and it was just a mushy mess that tasted like uncooked flour and milk with no taste of truffle whatsoever. I asked the waitress if perhaps there was shaved truffle that was supposed to be atop the dish. She had no idea what I was talking about. She said that the dish was made with truffle butter and they could remake my dish. I declined. Our meal took forever to arrive and when it did clearly it had been sitting for some time and was cold and the seafood in the dish was overcooked. The waitress was clearly “thrown off”. Finally dessert arrived and it was the best part of the entire meal. I will not return to the restaurant. Certainly didn’t live up to the reviews that it received online.

   I am so sorry to read of your experience with us on Wednesday. Our server should really have done more to correct the issues when they were brought to her attention. I apologize for the lack of attention to detail on your visit with us. We spend every day working to give the best food and service. In this case we failed on both. We appreciate your input and will train staff members to maintain our standards at all times to better serve our guests. I would hope that you would reconsider visiting us again. It would be our pleasure to serve you and your guests in the manner in which you should have been served on this visit.

   Took them 30 mins to seat us even with a reservation . Extremely slow service , took 15 mins to just get the attention of the server to put in our order. The order took too long and server forgot to put in one order. Took very long for the incomplete food to show up. The food was at the best just mid. You don’t get value for your money. Extremely high priced for the pathetic service and okayish food . Would not recommend .

   I am sorry to read of your experience with us on your visit. Clearly, we should have made a better effort to have your meal prepared and delivered all at the same time. The servers mistake certainly should have been corrected. We prepare everything from scratch in our kitchen and would be more than happy to correct anything that may not be to your liking.    Love Plate in Leawood. The atmosphere is wonderful-very relaxing with a lot of positive energy. The food is superb and the service is professional and friendly. Great expierence.

   This was a lovely dinner with my husband. The ambience was nice, the space was lovely and the food was amazing!! Delicious seafood and I plan to try the pork shoulder next. I can’t wait to go back. The bar is a nice space for meetings with friends or an impromptu drink with your love. I am already returning for happy hour this week.

    Plate never disappoints and it's somewhere my friend always wants to visit when she’s visiting from NC. She loves plate and I do too.
