   I have wanted to eat at Poppy & Rose for years! Many times when I pass by on the weekends it's packed so I keep moving. I decided to make it a date and go try the food that I've heard so much about. I have also seen the Chef Michael on some of the food competitions, that I am obsessed with! To my delight, I did not order what I expected to, the waffles & fried chicken. Instead I ordered a la carte chicken sausage patty, half of an avocado, and the joyful surprise.. the biscuit! Listen, I am a biscuit Aficionado and I tell you a biscuit is good it is good. But this biscuit was better than good, it was heavenly. It was an orb of a whisper tender homemade angel biscuit with crispy, flaky, delicious layers that were so good I had to take almost an hour to enjoy every morsel. And the homemade Berry Jam was no joke either... incredibly delicious. Believe me when I tell you that if it had not cost me $30 for a half dozen biscuits I would have taken a half dozen home. My body thanks me for not doing so but boy I have been thinking about those biscuits ever since. I have had many biscuits around the city and in markets but I promise you Poppy's is the very best I have had . I promise you it is only with great restraint that I don't go over there right now and order at least three to bring home for breakfast tomorrow. Oh, and by the way, my lunch partner said his smoked beef sandwich was divine. I will definitely be back.

   Full house with a great atmosphere and great customer service throughout. The drinks did take a long time to be delivered at our table, during our meal, however the food was great from the pickles in the salad to the fried chicken. We ordered 4 lemonades (1 regular, 1 cucumber, and 2 strawberries) and they’re made when requested so it’s always fresh!

   Made a reservation for my girlfriends and I to enjoy the beautiful weather on a sunny afternoon on the rooftop, only to learn when we arrived their rooftop was closed! It didn't mention that on the website when making the reservation. So we were quickly seated inside where the noise level was at an ALL TIME HIGH! It wasn't the normal cute, casual conversations I was use to; it was like a screaming match just to talk to each other. Our server seemed to be new and unable to make simple accommodations due to dietary restrictions with one person in our party. It was always, "I'll have to ask if we can do that," when requesting a different meat option other than pork. Our guest was then charged $10 for two chicken wings for opting out of eating pork. When she brought the bill, we asked if we could have separate checks and her response was, "I can only split the check evenly." When I reminded her that we all didn't order the same exact things (or drinks), she then replied, you guessed it - "I'll have to ask of we can do separate checks." I smiled as she walked away because I knew they very much could split our checks....after confirming with the "manager" she came back to our table with three separate checks. This was NOT the experience I was hoping for, nor was it the experience I had other times I've visited Poppy & Rose. I was hosting two other ladies and felt bad they didn't get to experience this restaurant like I had other times. Can't say I'll be back, but the food was good.

   Worth a visit for breakfast whether you're shopping the LA Flower Mart or not! I changed up and went with the shrimp n grits. The grits were better than most in town and the dish was flavor-packed! I could go for more grits in the serving though. My date had the crab benedict which she loved, with the exception of the biscuit. I had to agree, it was a little too dense. You can't miss with the chicken and waffles here. I also tried the Rose Mojito for the first time and the second time, lol! Really good, so be careful!

   Our waiter charged me for a drink i returned immediately back and a matcha latte that was spilled. It took some time to get the attention of our waiter. The restrooms are disgusting to use.

   The food was amazing! I had got the fried chicken sandwich with hot sauce on the side; delicioussssssss!! And s/o our server Kayla! She was attentive, helpful, and sooo nice. The music selection was nice, everything came out in a timely manner. My friends got French toast w/Chicken wings, and the waffle fried sandwich. None of us had complaints, the food was flavorful. We walked out happy and full lol ! Will come back.

   The food is great. Particularly the Biscuits (Eggs Benedict), the Chicken and Waffles, the Lumberjack with Pancakes, the Shrimp and Grits. Coffee drinks are ok. Great proximity to the Flower Marr. Make an RSVP. VERY loud - due to the metal ceiling and tile floors.

    Everything was so amazing!! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Ariah who was SO sweet! Kayla our server was so amazing, she answered all of our questions, and really made our dining experience. The food was fantastic, and worth every penny.
