Potente is a sophisticated and upscale Italian restaurant located in downtown Houston led by Executive Chef Danny Trace. Every dish is locally sourced and uses only the highest quality ingredients. Try our chef favorite homemade pasta with black truffles shaved table side, petite filet with pistachio gremolata and homemade desserts sure to delight!

Our attire is relaxed formal. Shorts, hats, sneakers, torn clothing and sweat pants not permitted.

    We had apps, salads and pastas and shared them all. Everything we had was excellent. The crab agnolotti is not typical but it’s delicious. Wonderful service and awesome wine list with very fancy decanters. Made for a memorable evening.

    Tenderloin and spaghetti pasta was outstanding. Creme Brule is the best I ever experienced. Service was high level. Atmosphere was certainly upscale romantic. Will definitely return.

    A great evening had a quiet table , started with the truffle pasta, the pasta was a perfect aldente and the truffles were amazing! Had brazino for the main course and it was excellent.

    Excellent food and service. Crab tart and Caesar salad were outstanding. A new crusty snapper dish was vey good, though I always prefer redfish over snapper.This has become one of our favor, if in frequent, restaurants.
