They basically didn’t have more than half of the starters and the pudding wasn’t cooked at all.

Lovely atmosphere, food and service. The waitress was lovely and polite and although very busy, she couldn't do enough.

I would always recommend the crown to friends and consistently enjoy it here, however, one of the bar staff could have done with some lessons in how not to be a smart a*se. When pouring my pornstar martini, you didnt have any shot glasses so he proceeded to pour the prosecco shot into a tumbler, which was fine but he wasnt pouring the right amount that would be equivalent to the shot glass, i asked him to pour more and he argued that it was exactly the same measure. Good customer service means the customer is always right, would recommend he changes his attitude!

Date night with the husband and had a lovely evening. I ended up booking the wrong day and should have booked the Saturday evening, turned up and was no booking for my name. Realised what I had done, however this wasn't a problem and they were able to find us a table. Lovely food which was enjoyed by both. Will definitely be coming back soon.

Generally good food but of the four mains two were unusually poorer than expected. The roast chicken was OK in quality but the presentation was poor, a pile of chicken carcass overpowering the plate. One of the two roast beef we ordered was cold.

The food is usually reliably good but on this occasion one of the four of us got a main course that was not as described on the menu. The roast loin of pork arrived as rather stringy pork shoulder, edible but not what it should have been.

Outstanding service in a relaxed atmosphere. I always feel welcome and valued here. Food is freshly cooked and the two course lunch from the fixed price menu is excellent value. The wine list is larger than most. Disappointingly, and for the second visit in a month, my first choice wine wasn’t available. (Different choices each time). But it’s not hard to choose a delicious alternative from the extensive offering. Highly recommended

Poor service, one meal was cold, one meal was wrong Semi regular dinner about once a month and recently each visit has been progressively worse. Going to give it a miss for a while.
