This is not the same restaurant as when Michael Mina was there, do not be deceited! There is a huge difference in the quality of the menu, the service and even the ambience since this chef left. We were greatly disappointed, and they still charge the same, which is outrageous. They started off with a very mediocre table bread, which could have been bought at a local bodega but tasted old. Before they used to have truffle butter bread that was baked that same night, day and night difference. They no longer have a sommelier, and the waitress made fun of me when I asked about their cigars. The steaks used to be cooked to perfection, these were not the best steaks. Additionally, the selection of sides is very limited and not the best quality; very underwhelming. We were so disappointed with the meal that we didn't stay for dessert or anything else. The restaurant was also about 25% full when we went, when before it used to be always full and you could feel everyone enjoying themselves. Prime54 really needs to elevate its food if it plans to keep charging those prices. I don't think the quality of the meal was even worth 25% of what we paid.
