    The cocktails were excellent and the service was “perfect”, something the waitress said after every response to the questions we were asked, but she truly was attentive, helpful and kind. The food was disappointing. I don’t think any of the dishes had been salted at all. My crispy eggplant Parmesan was lightly battered and had a thin crust between 3 thick cut slices of eggplant. The crust became soggy between the slices. It was not well seasoned and was saved by the mozzarella. My partner’s chicken tomatillo soup was too heavy on the tomatillo & the “cornbread croutons” were simply cubes of cornbread, not crouton-like at all. His salad was overly sweet. We had also ordered the tempura brussel sprouts which were delicious, but the tempura was soft and not crisp, I suspect the oil wasn’t hot enough. This was our fourth visit. Each time we have found that the food is good but misses the mark of greatness.

    Happened to be in this area unexpectedly on a Saturday evening. Looked for a place with an available reservation within 30 minutes and this place came up with good ratings and a menu that promised to be culinary at a minimum. Pluses = Food Quality, taste, chef and farm to table forward. Minuses = dining room was far too cold for the day, and it appeared despite getting feedback on the temperature, the leadership nor the employees were able to affectively adjust the temperature. Total dining experience took far too long. Arrived at 6:20 pm and didn’t receive the check until almost 8:00pm. No alcohol was ordered so need to smooth/slow the process. We were sat within 8 feet of the door which was unpleasant given plenty of available 4 top tables. The area where they have placed the hostess podium, which was immediately adjacent to our table created an unpleasant view of cleaning product and rags. I’ll add that the placement of this podium likely was a factor (not sure ADA compliance is intact with the clearance between the podium and dining chairs) in our witnessing of an elderly gentleman fall as he attempted to leave the restaurant after dinner. In summary, food and wait staff were great! Operations and overall experience, not great.

    Chef Chris always surprises us with innovative and delicious new dishes! Our new favorite is it the whipped brie with pumpkin infused honey starter. Probably the best burger in the DFW area, it’s so hard not to order, but went with the wagu hanger steak and did not regret deviating from my normal order, it was outstanding!

    Prime farm to table is usually very good, but our recent dining experience was disappointing. The cornbread was not fresh. The octopus tasted like it was a lunchtime left over. Also, very few customers for a Friday night. We hope things will improve.

    Chef Chris’ menu is a marvel! We feasted on ultra-fresh New England oysters, perfectly cooked lobster risotto balls, sublime cornbread & crackling-crispy fried chicken with cheesy grits. We were treated like royalty & the 1/2 price wine by the glass on Thursday nights is the icing on the cake!
