Absolutely delicious from start to finish. We ordered multiple appetizers and a couple of side dishes along with split the Chilean Seabass over forbidden rice and the special Bronzino over a delectable truffle risotto. The owner-chef checked on us twice and the waitress really do too beautifully. Describe any meals we had questions about. I was also grateful that had I chose tofu as a substitute for my entrée that they offered organic tofu. The only complaint is that the noise decibel was very high, even though we were close talking it was deafening. And I was grateful that I was at a larger table with a bigger group because the two top tables are very narrow, very long and narrow restaurant. But chic design and a great vibe highly recommend.

I only had 30 minutes for a quick dinner and saw that the old restaurant changed hands so I decide to try it. When I walked in the hostess warmly greeted me and I was very impressed with the new decor and vibe. The food was outstanding, cooked perfectly, and the chef even came by to talk to me. My server was the best!I will definitely come back soon to try more dishes with my family & foodie friends.

Pros: Great food. Nice servers and manager. Cons: Rough start. They overbooked us and changed the time of our reservation in advance (we were lucky they didnt cancel us). Upon arrival they estimated a 15 min wait. The wait was 40 min but only because a member of our party kept asking the hostess/manager. Then they fit 6 of us at a 5 person table. There was really no other option at that point if we wanted to stay. The restaurant is small and there were people waiting for their tables in nearly every available free space. They were serving glasses of Prosecco to all the parties who were waiting as a consolation. Im sure they will iron out all the kinks in due time. When it warms up they will also have outdoor seating to help with the great demand to eat there. I would return!

Olivia, we truly appreciate your patience and understanding, and we’re grateful that you stuck with us through a challenging night. Opening a new restaurant comes with a few growing pains, and we’re working hard to smooth out the kinks as quickly as possible. It means a lot to hear that you enjoyed the food and service despite the wait. We’d love to welcome you back soon for an even better experience! Thank you again, Chef David

We definitely want to love Prose. Not yet. Prose took the space where Gasolina was for years. And was a fun, terrific restaurant. The West Valley needs this type of upscale, hip restaurant. The good: The space is beautiful. Love the green painted out walls and ceiling. They've done a nice job redoing the room. My wife's sweet potato gnocchi was fabulous. The fries were delicious The beer was ice cold. Gem Caesar salad was delicious The bad: The small booth bench seats we were in are too close the table and unable to move to allow more space. My wife's prosecco was totally flat. The waitress said it was the last glass in the bottle. Too much and unnecessary information. Took too long to get the attention of the waitress to replace it. The silverware, while elegant is much too thin. The thin handles are ridiculous. It's like eating with a single chopstick with fork tines on the end. Needs to have a little more heft. Not a lot, but some; specially if you're eating a steak. The hanger steak was supposed to be medium rare. It was much closer to medium and fairly dry. the parts that were MR were delicious. The lemon panna cotta, was ok. Came with nice fruit. But barely a hint of lemon and overwhelmed by the mint The bill with tip came to just about $200. I know they opened recently. So you would think the service would be almost too much. The wait staff and manager coming up often "How is everything? Do you need anything? Welcome to the restaurant." But it wasn't. if the service and food was perfect, $200 is a reasonable amount for a cool restaurant in Los Angeles with drinks. But first time there is maybe a B-? That's not good enough. We'll try it again. But not immediately.

Cliff, I truly appreciate your honest feedback and that you’re giving us another shot. It’s clear that we fell short in some areas during your visit, and I take that seriously. We’re continuously refining the experience, from service flow to food execution, and your insights help us improve. I’m glad you enjoyed the space and some of the dishes, but I hear you on the details that need work. Looking forward to welcoming you back for a better experience next time. Best, Chef David

What a gem of a neighborhood restaurant nestled in the heart of Woodland Hills! Chef David put a unique and thoughtful spin on everything we ordered--cheddar biscuits that manage to taste down home and sophisticated at the same time, short rib lasagna with a lovely tangy sweet red sauce, and a uniquely flavored cream spinach that keeps you still thinking about it the next day. The staff was also great. Really warm and genuinely seemed happy to be working there. Super excited Prose has arrived. I'll be showing off this restaurant to my fancy West-sider friends soon and often! :)

I took my girlfriend out for a birthday meal and we weren’t disappointed. The service was great. We didn’t feel rushed even though we took ages to order because we were chatting too much! The Hamachi was to die for and the frites were great, We even got to meet and chat to the chef! A good wine selection, great ambience, a really enjoyable night out. We will definitely be coming back!
