The food and overall experience were very good. The spacing between courses was a bit long, though.

Great dining experience. We had previously done Brunch at Provence, which was great, and dinner was just as good. There were six of us so we tried a number of the appetizers, all wonderful, as well as the entrees. The short ribs and Cornish hen were both great. Service was perfect.

This restaurant is not what its appearance and name would suggest: expectations are set as a French Fine Dining establishment, where, in reality, the food is more aptly described as middle-of-the l-road New American. To note: I particularly take issue with the Duck Confit. The duck leg and quarter were severely undercooked (raw around the joint), where the meat should have been tender and falling off the bone. The skin was also barely cooked, with the fat and collagens not rendered out of the skin, leaving an atrocious texture of thick fat slabs under rubbery skin. Not a bit of the skin was crispy, as you would expect from the iconic french duck confit that spends hours and hours cooking slow and low, which then is finished with high heat, producing the signature delectable ambery crispy skin. We notified our server of the duck's shortcomings, and the kitchen attempted to create it again. This time, the duck was generally edible, without the being raw at the joint, but the skin was again a mess, but at least separated from the skin, and the meat remained very difficult to pry off of the bones. We decided to cut our losses and refrain from giving lessons on what defines a French duck confit and how to cook it to a kitchen that should know better. The remainder of the menu was passable; very pretty, but the flavors and textures were unremarkable and not terribly French. The atmosphere and service were fabulous, and I do not fault the front of house staff one bit for the shortcomings. Sadly, I will be recommending that people visit with reduced expectations or not visit at all.

We had a lovely entrees of short ribs and Cornish hen. We found the onion soup tasty with sweet onions and mushrooms but with a very thin broth which was disappointing. The escargot came in an unusual presentation, with each snail in its own pastry tartlet and was quite tasty. The crème brule would have been fantastic without the pumpkin infusion. The red velvet cheesecake was delicious. We will definitely return to sample the next seasonal menu.

My wife and I celebrated New Year’s Eve here. The restaurant is GORGEOUS: it’s an old house and the rooms are intimate. Despite being a small room with maybe 4 other tables, we felt very much like the only table in the room. This is not a bad thing. Service was excellent, the pace of the meal was perfect, and the food was outstanding. The fried goat cheese salad was creamy and somehow still light, my Beef Wellington was beautifully cooked and my wife’s lobster tail was divine. A Top Ten meal for us for sure. Provence was a wonderful way to say goodbye to 2024 and hello to 2025. We will most certainly be returning.

Brunch was so good! The food choices are limited but all good options. The break basket was a nice start, omelet was delish, & the bacon was amazing! Save room for the beignet tree! Love the decor & ambiance. Service was great also. Can’t wait to try dinner!
