Food was great. Short rib portion was teeny tiny, everything else was normal adult size

Items not available from menu and this menu is crafted for the occasion. Ambience is not as per occasion and forced gratuity because of Valentine day. Gratuity is not high but not voluntary to mark the service. Food quality and presentation is good.

First time coming here and overall, it was good. Service was OK. Took a while for a server to come to our table and get our drink order. Was not provided silverware initially. Had to ask after our appetizers came out. The server had his hands all over our forks, so health concern was an issue. I would not come back here or recommend to friends.

I really wanted to give a good review but I was pretty disappointed. The shrimp cocktail and Caesar salad came out warm. The shrimp were so warm that it made me question whether they had been sitting out and whether they were even safe to eat. Salads should be cold. That, too, was warmer than room temp. We ordered the surf and turf. The lobster was dry and over cooked with half of the meat missing from one tail (I lobster dive and fish. I know what the tail meat should be and look like when cooking). Dessert was okay but definitely just looked like some chocolates someone threw together from a grocery store and charged $16 for 3 pieces. We typically like Public House but won’t be returning for another Valentine’s Day. The music sounded awesome. The staff was nice. However, some of the waitstaff were messing around with the hostesses and cussing up a storm pretty much the entire time we were there. Hard to “enjoy the moment” when all you hear are F bombs from the employees. That ambience isn’t what we wanted for a romantic evening.

My wife and I had a great dinner and we really enjoyed the lie music! It was a very easygoing laid back dining experience! A terrific way to spend Valentine’s Evening with my wife. The dessert was incredible!

Definitely bummed out about the Valentines Day experience. I booked a reservation on Open Table ahead of time- the restaurant is close proximity to the Temecula Community Theatre that we had tickets to for the evening, and the food at Public House has always been great on our previous visits. Open Table gave the option to pre-select the Valentines menu or continue with the standard menu. We were dining with our 4 year old, so the lobster and filet for 2 wasn’t on the radar for us. I selected the standard menu option. When we arrived for our reservation, we were seated on the high tops in the back corner. It had just rained, so my husband was sitting in the mud. There were several heaters going- but the two next to us just happened to not be working. When the waiter came to take our food order, we found out that it was only the Valentines menu that was available. He asked the chef about the Mac n cheese on the kids menu- but they couldn’t make that available. The 3 of us split 2 apps and the filet/salmon. Although we had ordered drinks a good 10 minutes ahead of the food, the food came before and sat on the table to chill before the drinks arrived and we could ask for silverware. $160+ tip later- we left there cold and still hungry, with a whinny kid- which of course added to the joy of the experience. We will have to retry during the warmer times when our favorite Reuben and Short Ribs are available.

Great place. We were hoping to be able to eat lunch. They only had a brunch menu. Lunch wasn’t available until 2 pm.

We made reservations for 8 and were seated at a table that had some of the chairs in the dirt. It was a high top table that was very skinny. It was more of a bar than a table. It wasn't very busy, but there were 2 kids running around and yelling (not the fault of the restaurant ). Overall, it was ok, nothing special.

Great food! Good beer! Cool vibe. Even a little cold outside but the heaters were on and it was very comfortable.
