   Decided to go with the New Year's Eve Menu. Offered was a 4 course meal along with a glass of bubbly, a starter, appetizer, entree, and dessert. The meal was paced nicely, the environment had a nice vibe with a live band of jazz music, we were seated outside on patio with warming heaters, the service went well with a few nudges for water, small plates, and take home containers. It was a very busy environment and completely sold out. The food was delicious; salmon and steak entree choices cooked to perfection, paired with a charcuterie board to start and an order of crab cakes. Dessert was a "mousse cake" that was to die for. Everything was seasoned well and presented nicely. The staff was pleasant and not overly attentive but present. We had eaten there on several other occasions and were always pleasantly pleased. We would recommend Public House on any given day, and consider it next year for New Year's Eve. No surcharges, competitive pricing, great food, comfortable seating. Nicely done, Public House!!!

   The outdoor area was so cute, tables were nice. The food was really good. However, took 20 mins for a server to even say hi and then another hour for our food to brought out. Meanwhile the server was MIA and then came back and blamed the kitchen. They did comp our appetizer which was nice but the wait was so long without any check in that we wouldn’t recommend this place

   The restaurant was very short staffed (a bunch of call-ins) and the service was still great. Waitstaff was wonderful. Food was delicious, holiday decorations & lights accentuated the already fun atmosphere of the patio, we can’t wait to return.

   apparently the place changed ownership a year or more ago. Previously they had great specials, wonderful fish, and nice drinks. I came back because I used to go regularly and they had premade manhattans and/or old fashioned barrels and they were very good. They don't offer those anymore. I wondered why there were so few people there when the restaurant next door had a line out onto the street. The public house used to be difficult to get in, but it appeared they have lost traction.

   The ambience was not festive for this time of year and no music was playing. The drinks were over priced and the food was just okay.

   The food was aggressively mid tier. Sitting in the weird little offshoot dining room was quiet and awkward and VERY bright.

   The food was "ok" but not great, especially for what they were charging. Overcooked the steak which was also supposed to have a chimichurri on it but was more like a "salsa" (definitely not a chimichurri). The server we had was great, friendly, and very attentive, but I would not come back for mediocre food.

    The food was missing flavor and some key ingredients. The burrito was missing the potatoes, the og Benedict tasted like vinegar, the table next to us didn't get their eggs on their meals.
