   Restaurant had great reviews and was full when we arrived so I had high hopes for a lovely valentines evening meal. Sadly I think they could’ve done with at least 2 more members of staff. We didn’t get our drinks order taken for 30 minutes after we arrived and then didn’t receive our starters for a further 40 minutes (just some bread and olives) and then it wasn’t until a whole 1 hour and 40 minutes after we had arrived that we received our main course. Which was nice in fairness but wasn’t worth spending so long waiting for it. Probably wouldn’t go again, disappointed on Valentine’s Day

   A very pleasant dining experience. Unpretentious environment where the food speaks for itself. Very good friendly service. Highly recommended

   The focacia was absolutely delicious. I had a langoustine risotto which I thought was very tasty. My friend had the carbonara which she said was tasty but not the best. The service was fantastic, very friendly and welcoming. It felt like you were going to an Italians family home. Overall, a delightful dinner and would recommend to anyone visiting Bournemouth.

   Best Italian by far. First time going to Puro Gusto and it didn't disappoint. The food is outstanding. Having travelled to many places in Italy, this is some of the best Italian food I have tasted.

   Amazing 5⭐️ Italian restaurant, the best outside of Italy. Family run business you have to try, you won’t be disappointed. All produce is carefully sourced and pasta is handmade every day. You have to have the homemade focaccia bread and dips, caprese salad with burrata, the tagliatelle pardano wheel (this is a real experience) and then try the choux aux craqulin.

   The food was terrific, and the service was excellent. I will go back and tell everyone I know about this fantastic restaurant. I felt like I had been transported to Italy.

    This was my first visit to Puro Gusto. To start we had the selection of cured meat with focaccia, scallops and calamari. The cured meat selection was very good, with options like mortadella, salame, peppered salami and sausages. The accompanying focaccia was freshly made and warm. The restaurant proud itself on freshly sourced locally caught fish and different sea food. This was clear from the amazing scallops which melted in the mouth. They were served with a fresh and vibrant parsley sauce, sour cream and fish roe. Lastly the calamari, I personally not a fan of calamari but these were delicious and super fresh. Tagliatelle tartufo these are a signature dish and a must. The preparation is an experience in itself. It’s prepared in a massive wheel of cheese, the cheese is torched and scraped then mixed with the pasta and truffle sauce. The sauce is really addictive so watch out you may need to go back if you try it. Pappardelle with homemade ragu was also amazing. It is difficult to find good ragu but this restaurant definitely has an amazing one. We wanted to have some desert as well but ended up being too full. I can confidently recommend Puro Gusto and will definitely be back.
