Absolutely worth the experience. Great Steak Tartar! Very good ribeye. The 40 day dry aging came through with the taste but not as much as I would have liked. With the number of great steakhouses in the Phoenix/Scottsdale market it will make it, but not be our #1 '"go to" spot.

We had a nice dinner at Pyro. First off, the service was great! Our server was pretty much perfect. Most of the staff have been there since it opened, which is great. The ambience is nice, not too loud, really nice looking decor. We had the Yellowtail Sashimi, the Japanese meatballs, Gyoza, a Ribeye steak and the Branzino. The food was good. I really liked the Japanese flame cooked syle of food. The flavor of the steak was great, but it was not served hot, more room temp. I get that you let it rest....and it was cut, but it still should have been hot, especially for the price. This was not an inexpensive dish. The best dish was probably the meatballs! Very flavorful, and the sauce it came with was great. The gyoza should have come with a dipping sauce. Probably my only real problem with the restaurant is that it's really expensive. The entrees are totally a la carte, so you feel compelled to order a side or something to go with them. And yes, we did have several glasses of wine. But it was still a more expensive mean than I thought it was going to be. Overall, I would recommend Pyro.... but expect a pretty expensive meal.

Overall a pleasant foodie experience. Upscale decor, professional waitstaff, classy restrooms. Now, the food was exceptional! Shaved greens salad with a peppery vinaigrette, short rib skewers with a tasty sauce, filets cooked to perfection with mushrooms sautéed in an Asian inspired au jus, toffee cake to finish our meal was just right.

I had high hopes for this spot. We stopped at the bar for a drink before our reservation and the bartender was great as well as the drinks. When we sat down for dinner it took 2 hrs to get our food. All we ordered was a steak and Brussels. The steak came out and it was not good and the Brussels were cold. They tried to make it up but wasn’t enough and left not a happy customer
