I dine at Quality Bistro only about four times a year (whenever I go to City Center), but they treat me like a regular — greeting me by name, checking often to make everything is satisfactory, often comping my cappuccino. And the food is terrific. I love the butter service, the French onion soup, the frites. Yesterday I tried the spicy Caesar salad, the salmon in champagne sauce, and the pommes puree. Wonderful! Usually I have dessert — either the ice cream cake au citron or the raspberry sorbet.

Probably a tough night for the team, everyone was kind but were sat 30 minutes after reservation time, with several groups walking out before we sat due to risk missing curtains. Server was kind but dishes piled up on the table and drinks/waters were empty for a bit before being noticed. Just felt like an off night so willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Food was excellent, particularly butter service, French onion soup, and corn brûlée

Overbooking even tho you have a reservation. Food is good but the service was bad. App came before drink and the server took our main course food after we finish app and we have to sit and wait the main course for like 15 mins.

In the past two months, I’ve been here two times. I have to say it is one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I have ever had. One night I had dinner here with my children- we enjoyed a delicious meal. Everything was perfectly cooked. Today I came here with out of town friends for a Saturday brunch, and we decided to go with the butter service which was phenomenal. I felt like I was having a meal in Europe. I mean, just outstanding quality of ingredients and service in a gorgeous room in the center of Manhattan. I don’t know a better way to spend a leisurely afternoon.

I really enjoyed my first visit here last year February. This second visit was a little disappointing. Front reception and wait staff were not welcoming at all. Poor service just trumps everything else. The food and cocktails are good but I doubt I would go back again. There are too many restaurants in the city with much better service and equal or better food and cocktails

We had reservations for 7:45pm and our table wasn’t ready until 8:10pm. When we asked why the delay, we were told the table was available but it needed to be dressed and that some times it took a minute and other times it took longer. Didn’t quite make sense. Then the service itself was fair at best. The server on a few occasions went to place food on the table without giving “warning” which side he was going on and made it very awkward with the placement of the dishes plus it was very obvious that some of the hostesses were playing favoritism with certain tables because some tables had the hosts/managers come up like 3/4 times and ours 0. Not sure what the difference was. The empty dishes were not attended to and we finally had to be the ones to ask if they could remove some of the plates to make room for the others that were coming out. I will not be recommending this place to family or friends.

Great experience at Quality Bistro last Friday night. The food was excellent but what made the meal better was our server, Ciro. He really listened to us. My husband likes medium and I like medium rare. We ordered chateaubriand - Ciro said no worries - he could make it right for both of us, and he did. From my questions about the steak sauce, he recommended adding an au poivre sauce with the regular sauce. He was right. My husband loved the Robert's sauce. I liked the au poivre. His friendly and helpful service made it a special night.
