    Our group of 8 had an exceptional evening dining here at Quality Italian. Our table was ready when we arrived and our server was extremely attentive all night long. We enjoyed a variety of entrees which were described to us in detail. I honestly cannot think of a single thing that I would have changed!

    The experience at the host stand was unpleasant. There were three hosts conferring about who knows what and they never looked up or acknowledged my presence. After a couple of minutes I finally said “Hello.” And the woman (the other two were men who I never saw smile at anyone) looked up and said- “ Oh, can you just give us a second?” The troupes definitely need more training there. I feel more welcome at the grocery store than at this restaurant where I’m about to drop $400 on steak dinner for 4. Then we were told to sit in the bar lounge and someone would be with us but there was no waiter. Not such a big deal but we waited for a while before figuring it out. Anyway, our actual waiter was delightful, the food was good, and gelato yummy. Oh- it was also super duper loud which was unfortunate given we were there for my dad’s 77th birthday and my parents couldn’t hear a thing- but I should have checked that out beforehand. The whole experience was quite a people-watching scene so if that’s what you’re looking for you’ll probably enjoy it. 🙂

    We showed up on time for our reservation and had to wait 30 minutes to be seated at a table. This is the second time this has happened to us at this restaurant. We were finally seated at clearly the worst table in the restaurant right next to where the wait staff was entering and exiting the kitchen and unloading silverware. The hostess was apologetic and assured us they would give us some complimentary items for our wait. The waiter clearly had too many tables and paid very little attention to us throughout the meal. They did not offer us any complimentary food or drink for the wait. I am not usually the type to take the time to complain about a bad dining experience, but this was really a disappointment for what was meant to be a special night out for my wife's birthday. For a restaurant that expensive, that level of service is unacceptable.

    Food was overpriced for what it was. My meatballs were pretty basic, the spicy lobster pasta thing was flavorless but very hot. The gnocchi was boring and a tiny portion - maybe 7 pieces of gnocchi, which one would expect for an appetizer but not a meal order. We have been coming for several years and it started out amazing but went downhill from there. I don’t think we will be back.

    I came here for my birthday dinner last night and my experience was subpar at best. The hosts were very kind and the ambience of the restaurant itself was great, but our waitress was dismissive and aloof. She was clearly eavesdropping on our conversation and subsequently making judgements facial expressions toward us. My group is on the younger side and we were blatantly not treated with the same respect as the older patrons around us. My family and I are regulars at this establishment and the level and quality of attention and service differed vastly last night in comparison to my prior experiences dining with my parents and their friends. Four of the six of us have experience working in the restaurant industry and we have empathy and appreciation for the staff who worked hard to give us a good experience, but my evening at Quality Italian fell short. We still left a 20% tip, but the experience left a bad taste in our mouths, figuratively and literally.
