Quay is one of the country’s most celebrated restaurants; the creation of leading Australian restaurant group, Fink, and Executive Chef Peter Gilmore.

Quay offers either a 6 course menu - $325pp. Or an 8 course menu- $385pp.

The reimagination of Quay has welcomed an organic space reflective of Peter Gilmore’s nature inspired cuisine. The interplay of textures and colour bring new life and a vibrancy that embraces the restaurant’s place in the dress circle of Sydney Harbour. An ode to the Australian landscape, from the vast ocean floor, to the cracked bark of a paperbark tree, every detail from the ground up has been thoughtfully considered.

A new era for Quay, gives an opportunity to fulfil even greater aspirations in delivering a most personal and immersive dining experience.

The view! The ambience! Sublime. The food — interesting but flawed. Tasty but over processed. Too much pureed, gelleed, whipped. We needed more texture. It wound up being too much of the same. How many seafood gelee tastes do we want. Our table if 4 says, go once for the experience. One and done. It’s way expensive but we don’t regret having the total experience.

We came here for dinner. The view of the restaurant is excellent, we can see both the opera house and harbour bridge at our table. Food is quite good and sophisticated, but I would say I expected better for the reputation and for this price. We had the 8-courses menu and the portions were just right. Wine pairing was excellent and value for money.

This was the most wonderful location to have brought my international visitors, especially as Vivid was right there all around us. The tasting menu was excellent but I would still have preferred an a la carte menu. Nevertheless an exceptional evening.

Love the food and service. I went for the Wine Pairing and was impressed with the wines paired with food.

Unique dinning experience. If you are not adventurous in what you eat, this restaurant is not for you. Selection was a set six or ten course menu only. Small portions that had to be described and then explained when served. My wife ate about half of the meal. Venue is spectacular and service was excellent. For 4, including 2 bottles of wine, our bill was $AU 1,600.

My family and I were totally disappointed with The Quay. We think it survives on past reputation, the view and diners wanting to try Peter GIlmore's Snow Egg. The view is lovely but our table of four had one person looking out to a construction site! The wait Staff make no effort to be engaging, portions are tiny, dull in taste and presentation and its completely overpriced. Renovations begin end of March but it seems the restaurant has already closed its doors in attitude and quality!

I remember dining at Quay years ago - when degustation cost $125 and was much better than Tetsuya's. Have always wanted to return. I am a great admirer of Peter Gilmour's talents and enjoy Bennelong Raw & Cured Bar especially. We had an 8 course tasting menu. It started well, with tasty dishes and attentive staff. Then after the Pig's Jowl, the mains tasted bland.. Where was the variation in texture and appearance? The quail, fish and lamb were plain unappetising.
