Opened in 1934 and known for hosting various iconic performances, Rainbow Room Dinner & Dan serves a variety of European and continental cuisines in its ˆ la carte menu. Three Little Pigs is the classic European omelette prepared with Cumberland sausage, black forest ham, biscuit crumbs, bacon and lots of cheddar cheese. Rainbow Room Dinner & Dan prepares a variety of benedicts, served with toasted Portuguese muffin and farm eggs. Aside pancakes and puddings, it also serves a number of meat and vegetable entrŽes. The grilled sakuna bay salmon served with roasted asparagus spears and lemon hollandaise is a specialty here. Rainbow Room Dinner & Dan is popular for its vintage-style live entertainment shows. Overall, the dinner & dancing evening felt like an expensive tourist gimmick. Pros: Ambiance is undeniably lovely. Live band and dancing was fantastic. Appetizers and dessert were delicious. Cons: Service was terrible. The waiter mixed up most of the food service despite a pre-fix menu. First I was asked if I wanted flat or sparkling water. I asked for sparkling and got flat when he returned almost 10 min later. I asked if there was a vegetarian option for the first course (chicken) and was told it was no problem to have a salad instead. But he brought the chicken. He was gone so long that we had to flag another waiter to get a salad for me. The second course was a lobster cavatelli. The pasta, asparagus, and scallions were all over cooked. The lobster itself was fine. For the main course (choice of beef or fish), my table ordered two fish, but we were brought two beef and once again had to wait for the correct dishes to be brought out. Ultimately, better food and service can be found for much less. Likewise, you can find great music and dancing for much less as well. It's cute to be able to say you've eaten and danced at the Rainbow Room, but understand that that's really what you're paying for.

Everything about the Rainbow Room is amazing. It is the most beautiful restaurant I've ever been too The views are the best in NYC and the orchestra is fabulous.

I took my girlfriend here for her birthday, although it's pricey I'd recommend anyone do it at least once for a special occasion, it's a great experience you both won't forget.

Amazing and wonderful atmosphere. The services is impeccable, the food marvelously delicious and the music is very inviting which enticed you to want to dance.
