   Food itself and service was good, however for the money I expected more buffet selections. Also, the quantity of the food at the buffet was quite small—one small bowl of cut fruit for the entire place, for example, and a bowl of about 15 boiled shrimp (we arrived at opening so it wasn’t due to being eaten). Finally, i had to tell our waitress that there were no more plates at the buffet, and our plates were never cleared while we were eating.

   Very disappointing brunch experience at Ralph Sampson‘s ATR today. The food on the brunch was either cold or lukewarm. Pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs none of it was hot. We arrived at 10:25 AM for a 10:30 reservation so the food should’ve been hot with the restaurant opening at 10 AM. No carving station as advertised. We inquired and were told that the lightbulb that heats the meat was burned out. Instead, they had ham that had been cut up in the kitchen and was in one of the warming trays….dry and lukewarm. The service was so so. Only two other tables occupied so they were not busy. Not one inquiry about refilling my ice tea. For $35/person we expected more. This was our first time dining here and, unfortunately, will be our last!

   The Manager, Randy Merced, was amazing AND the only one who seemed to be doing anything in the entire restaurant. He helped our table when no serve staff ever came. Once we got a waiter, Mark, he was useless and clueless. Dropped our debit cards on the floor. (Restaurant 101) We had to stop him to get refills and food items. Food overall was good. Nachos came to the table not hot, however. And the restaurant uses wet cheese and not a melted grated cheese; which is gross and makes the food soggy. Other food was hot and enjoyable. Maybe this branch was not ready to open. The other people with me enjoyed their food. We took our leftovers to eat the next day. But without Randy being there and trying to maintain the ENTIRE restaurant, not sure what would have happened. They overbooked and we heard staff saying “did anyone have a reservation? We have space for five only!” Which is crazy.

   My wife had the Freckin grilled chicken that was good but I had the fish and chips and the fish had been previously cooked and was moderately warm, fries were also pre cooked so overall rating was at best a 3. We have dined there before and had the hamburger and that was well prepared and a good choice

   The new Saturday/Sunday brunch buffet is excellent. We highly recommend it. Very nice variety of food options. Just right for ATR.

   First. our reservations were changed an hour before our reservation so I had to call to make sure we had a reservation. They had changed our reservation by mistake. Ok. People are human and make mistakes. Our table would still be available at our desired time. When we arrived we found no reservation was necessary. It was nearly empty. Perhaps for good reason. We ordered a couple of starters. One was the cinnamon roll skillet. When it came out, there was no icing which we thought was strange, but we dug in anyway. We noticed it was really salty. A few moments later, our server comes out and sees we’ve tried at least half of it between our party of 6 but we didn’t finish it. She bursts out laughing telling us that the kitchen used salt rather than sugar. Would we want another one? They did bring out another just a moment before our food came out. This time the rolls came out ooey, gooey with icing. However our server walked by a few more times and giggled every time. Perhaps she and the kitchen staff should have tried the salty cinnamon roll. Our entrees come out. Two out of our party got the Frickin’ Good Chicken. The patty was fine but the sauce was just weird and off. Two of our party ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffles were made from sour batter and they were inedible. It was really disappointing. The staff offered to replace the waffles but we were just over it. They did end up bringing out some waffles so we could “check” the batter. It was fresh and tasted better but the bad experience was already ingrained. The other two meals were a steak and cheese sub and a cheese burger. They were just average meals and not worth the inflated prices. We really wanted to love this place. We did not. There’s too much competition to settle for this level of food and service.

    Our experience was disappointing. The food is not exactly how you envision it. Example: I ordered the Mac and cheese with jalapeños and added chicken. The jalapeños were so tiny and sparse they did not add to the flavor of the dish at all. It may as well have been plain Mac and cheese. Our friends had a similar issue with the meal they ordered and actually sent it back and requested another item. It was lunch time so it was early and the place was slow. The women’s bathroom was obviously not attended to from the previous day. The woman next to me had to ask for toilet paper and I had a third of a roll laying on top of the dispenser to give her some from. The soap was a counter top dispenser with maybe a half inch of soap left. We will not be going back.
