   We had an amazing meal at Rappahannock. The oysters were flavorful and fresh, the scallop crudo was delicious, and the mushroom risotto was great too. The mussel were the least exciting part of the meal, but they were still very good; everything else was just even better. And great service, even on a busy night (Saturday of Valentine's day).

   My first impression when I walked in was the seating is pretty close together and we will become acquainted with other guests. I felt a little crammed in our seats. There was a pre-fix menu for Valentine’s Day that I didn’t know about until getting there. The food came quickly but I barely saw our server and she never came back but to get our check to pay. That was a bit of a bummer for me because I am big on experiences. The food selection I actually wanted was not available on the pre-fix menu so that was another factor. Overall it was ok but not what I expected.

   Oddly, the oysters were ok but not exceptional. Scallops were excellent as was the burger. Service was spot on. Kitchen was exceedingly slow given we were one of just a few early dinners.

   Great dining experience! Top for seafood restaurants and service. Thank you Katie. The oyster selections and smoked fish spread were excellent. Rockfish and Branzino also both excellent. Sancerre was best pairing. So the selections per course and the wine menu we not extensive but they did not need to be. Stick with what you do so well. The preparation was superb.

   I was really excited to try to this restaurant, so we made reservations with friends to eat there before seeing a show. Parking was easy and we were seated right away. Everything about our meal and visit here was fine. Service was kind of slow, but fine. Food was fine - not memorable or anything to rave over, but not bad. Portion size was ok, although none of us felt the price was worth the quality or quantity of our food. Waitress never offered for us to see a dessert menu, so we assumed they didn't serve dessert. We ended up going to a different place for dessert after our meal here. There was nothing bad about our experience or meal here, but it is not a restaurant I feel like I would go back to or tell others they need to eat at when we have a lot of other places to chose from.

   Drinks were overpriced ($18) and barely any volume specifically for their Manhattan. We didn't like the mussels. They were small and the broth had no flavor. Whipped ricotta was yummy but came with no bread and we had to ask and wait for a long time to get more. Risotto was delicious but we won't come back

   Oysters, pan seared fish, and dessert were very good. Took forever to get a second glass of wine, not sure why. Service started out well and then tapered off. Gumbo and bread disappointing.
