   We LOVED Rare. The vibe is awesome. Two levels. The service system was impeccable. The food was so good and we cannot wait to go back!

   Excellent steak. Was pleasantly surprised, given I made a late Valentine’s Day Dinner reservation. Will definitely return.

   Our first time dining here we requested a booth or table near the window which we were able to get upon arriving so we were happy with that. We got Salads as our appetizers And we each got the capital cut Along with the crab cake entree Our food was absolutely delicious Worth every penny And our service was really awesome as well I can't remember our server's name but he was really attentive and did a good job explaining the menu specials we will definitely be back might be our new favorite Steakhouse in DC.

   Patricia was awesome. Mark met me at the door and graciously took my coat. The food was phenomenal as usual. The staff makes you feel well cared for and like family. I’ll definitely come back.

   Fantastic steak and friendly, attentive service in a modern but classic steakhouse dining room with dark wood and leather finishings. Steaks were cooked perfectly and I highly recommend the truffle butter finishing to top off your steak. The Wisconsin Old Fashioned is excellent and we enjoyed the asparagus and mac and cheese sides.

   I had an extremely frustrating and unprofessional experience at Rare. Nowhere was it stated that they don’t accept Apple Pay, and we only found out after finishing our meal when we tried to pay. They insisted on cash or credit card—neither of which we had on hand. As a result, I had to leave my friends behind, take an Uber to my hotel to grab my credit card, and take another Uber back just to settle the bill. This unnecessary inconvenience cost me $54 in Uber rides—all because the restaurant failed to disclose its payment policies upfront. To make matters worse, the manager was rude and unprofessional, showing no concern for the inconvenience they caused. In an era where digital payments are standard, refusing Apple Pay is one thing—but failing to inform customers in advance and then treating them poorly is completely unacceptable. I will never return to this place, and I strongly advise others to avoid it unless you want to risk dealing with the same level of incompetence and disrespect.

    Overpriced. Bone-in ribeye lots of throw away bites way over priced for quality. App crab cake was very good. Sides of mushrooms and Mac/cheese very good. Wines 3x+ retail but list extensive.
