   Service was good and food was very good apart from the "Hanging Korean Beef Kebab" that my wife had. Firstly she asked if she could have a steak knife, as she was struggling to cut through the cubes of beef. After chewing through a few gristly pieces she decided to tell the staff about it. She was offered another meal , but she declined, as we were three quarters through our meals. She struggled through the rest as she was quite hungry. On the whole, it didn't ruin our lunchtime, but we did think as a goodwill gesture she might have been offered a free desert or coffee, or something. Taking everything into account it wasn't too disastrous. In fact, seven of us are having Sunday dinner there this Sunday.

   Our first Christmas Lunch of the season, and as always the Red Lion chefs worked their magic and provided us with an outstanding Christmas Lunch, which we highly recommend. Ashley and Harry served us well at the table.

   It was my daughter’s 18 birthday and she wanted a pina colada but they had no pineapple juice, which is standard really. Waitress not very friendly either . Not as good as in the recent past. Will try somewhere else next time, which is a shame…

   We have been coming to the red lion for years and tonight was a real let down. The service was poor and the attitude of the waitress was a real disappointment. The service was slow and the waitress didn’t seem bothered at all. When asked why the dessert was taking so long 15 minutes after ordering we get well do you want to cancel it then. Very rude and abrupt.

   was a bit disappointed to be fair not with the place not with the ale or wine but with the food I had the special pie and the pastry was as hard a bullets filling was very good mash was lovely my wife had the milanaase chicken whilst it was presented well the sauce was very bland and the chicken was greasy speaking to others they have said its hit or miss at times I will try again and post again if it improves as one meal to give a not a bad review is unfair

   Superb food, fantastic marinaded lamb skewers in particular. Very friendly staff great service, we will be back! This is a notches up on pub grub.
