Bringing some LA vibes to the northeast. REGARDS draws inspiration from the diverse food culture of Los Angeles. We highlight flavor profiles from Japan and Mexico with the freshest of Maine produce and products.

The menu at REGARDS has bright, zippy ceviches and crudos, rich tamales, plump Argentinian shrimp tacos, along with mezcal cured hamachi collars, crab rice and grilled cabbage with caesar.

Clarified lime margaritas with eucalyptus or our gin and sotol martinis with hibiscus pair with our adventurous menu. We pour natural wine and have a large selection of curated mezcals and tequilas.

A place for us and for you. Might not make sense, but it sure is delicious. Across the street from Reny's. Nearby Maine College of Art, Portland Stage Company, State Theatre, Empire Comedy Club and Blue Jazz Club.

Regards is introducing "Taco Night" every Thursday through this fall and winter. We temporarily set aside our regular menu to creatively highlight tacos and tortilla forward dishes. A few of our classics like our crispy crab rice will still be available, but tacos are the shining stars every Thursday!

I really appreciated the unusual offerings. The scallop ceviche was excellent. The tamale was unusual because it had no obvious wrapping. The avocado appetizer was beautiful and filled with lumps of acocado. The seeded bread was delicious, very moist and the butter was delightful The margarita was excellent and the "old fashion" with mole and amaro was very tasty. The waitress was attentive and willing to describe the foodl when we didn't recognize the spanish name. The wine list was extensive and very tempting but we didn't try any as we had cocktails instead.

It was one of the best meals of my life! As a Mexican I felt so happy to see how they treat the Mexican ingredients with respect and the authentic flavors of all their food! Everything was spectacular!

what an amazing time-original food like never before and the chef's wife runs the place with panache. Very romantic yet lively. We flew from Santa Fe to eat here and worth the ten hour flight. In fact we are buying a house on Cape Elizabeth to be closer.

It is the most creative restaurant in Portland. You won’t find food like this anywhere else. A bit pricey but well worth it.

Regards is a very special spot. It is the right amount of cozy and chic and airy, and intimate. The food is interesting, layers of unique flavours, executed perfectly. Textures and tastes that you don’t find just anywhere and that not just anyone can create. Every time I dine at Regards I am instantly trying to plan my next visit.

Wonderful wonderful meal!!! The scallops and tamales we had for the Valentines Day Pre-Fixe were especially jaw dropping. Excited to return in the future!

Got the Valentine’s Day prefix dinner and it was all fish except for dessert. I can understand a focus on fish for the restaurant, but if it’s literally all fish there should have been a notice about it when booking. Some courses were super spicy with no warning and not served with anything to balance it out. Besides that, levels servers and atmosphere and very creative food. Very expensive and very small portions. Didn’t leave full.

Very inventive and mostly intense and successful dishes. A few fell short. We especially found the scales on the haddock distracting. The fluke tostada was at our limit for picante intensity. The final course was soothing and, overall, we did enjoy the experience very much still. Thanks for helping make this Valentine's Day a memorable one!
