Established in 2009, Renzo's is considered an institution in Tampa Bay. Given I have had some experience with Tomahawk steaks in the past, I ordered their dry aged tomahawk. I would not recommend this for people that enjoy prime steaks. The waitress,who is not from Argentina, told me that with this steak you should really order medium. It was peculiar because I’d never had anybody push so hard for me to order a steak more done than I prefer. Typically I order Pittsburgh rare if the steakhouse can provide this. Many steakhouses are unable to do this because they do not have an open flame reaching temperatures high enough. Anyway, I divulge, against my better judgment and pressure from the waitress I gave in and said OK to medium steak. I thought to myself she probably sees this more often and it may be too thick of a cut. I was completely wrong. When the steak arrived it was medium well. After a total loss of slightly more than $100, I was very disappointed. I had never eaten at Renzo’s and had driven past their Kennedy Boulevard location several times in my life intrigued by its offerings paired with chimichurri. I commend them for dry aging their steak, but when it is a choice cut versus a prime cut it is probably a mistake. The Tomahawk I encountered was definitely a choice cut. So if the voice in your mind is intrigued by this steak, save your money. Do not order this. It would be wiser to sous vide a choice filet mignon from Publix and finish it on a grill with $60 still in your pocket.

It was a top-notch experience. The quality of the food was superb. Friendly service and fair prices. We drive from Orlando on special occasions to eat at Renzo's. We love it.

Food like always on point. Service like always not the best, we go there bc if the food fir sure not the service. Drinks are never refill on time. And empty plates are not picked unless we ask. The only thing that we were upset this time and we r differently rethinking having our get together again, was that we got charged for bread at the table. That was shocking and upsetting.

We had reservations booked prior as it was Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately when we arrived we waited to check in to be told that we would have to wait for a table as they were booked because of Valentines. We waited and then was sat in very close proximity, that I was continuously bumped by the wait staff and customers as they tried to navigate in the very small dining space. Overall the food was great, they did unfortunately place a wrong appetizer in so that did make our dinning take a lot longer. The waitress apologized and placed the correct appetizer in, but I did take a long time to start our dining experience. Again once we did get the food it was great.

Price was what I would have paid at Ruth Chris, Flemings, and Charlie's BUT not on par with them. At these prices I should have gone there.

This was a last minute decision to go out for a romantic dinner in Valentines Day and we were very happy with finding this place. The service was good, felt welcoming. The food was DELICIOUS!!! I will definitely return and will recommend!!!
