   What a gem for Granbury! We felt like we were dining in one of the small,,quaint restaurants in Paris, France. The food was superb!

   Wonderful lunch. Had the special that day, salmon with roasted butternut squash, Brussel sprouts and dried cranberries. It was SOOOO good.

   Lunch was delightful. The food was delicious- grilled salmon with brussel sprouts. My friend and I were able to visit comfortably. And as always, the service was excellent!

   Wanted to try it out and support small local. They had a small music group that was the highlight of the experience. The wine was a short pour, the food was small amounts for the cost. The service was great, very friendly. Wont be going back though. Glad we tried it though.

   We went for a beer pairing meal. The food was delicious and the beer paired with each dish complimented the food perfectly.

   This was the perfect place for my mom’s birthday! The food and service was amazing and the atmosphere felt very serene and special.

   Maybe it’s not fair that our 3 dinner experiences have all been in large special event groups, but in all the cases, the food does NOT come out hot. If we were just an individual couple dining, we would have returned each course (except dessert). - The scallop pasta was tasty, though under seasoned. The broth had almost no taste. - The venison and beef courses were under seasoned, meat was chewy and hard to cut. Others at our table made similar comments. My meat was rare, which I don’t like. I’m sure it was supposed to be medium rare. I definitely left hungry. -Dessert was a vanilla cream tart in a what tasted like a shortbread crust with fresh fruit on top. It was delicious. - The wine pairings were pretty good. - Though, my glass was skipped completely on the second course. When we finally got a server’s attention, she never apologized that I was skipped. When I asked if I could have some wine, she just said, “yes.” I think she might have thought I already had some and guzzled the glass! Point is, not friendly nor apologetic that she had skipped me originally. - We wanted Anise to be our go-to fine dining restaurant in Granbury, but it’s just not living up to the ambitious vision that I believe the chef has. -Will we try again? Probably not. It’s too expensive to keep on and keep leaving unsatisfied.

    We had a fabulous dinner! This was our first visit and we’re very glad we decided to try Restaurant Anise. This quaint restaurant in Granbury did not disappoint. The food was fabulous, the service was pleasant and attentive but, not obtrusive, and the wine list was modest, but appropriate for the menu. Chef Meghan’s seasonal menu is inventive and delicious! I enjoyed the Pan Roasted Halibut and my husband loved the Smoked 10oz Bone In Pork Chop. We shared dessert…flourless Chocolate Cookie with Housemade Brown Butter Walnut Cherry Ice Cream. All in all, a definite 5/5 stars. 😊 We highly recommend this
