Joselyn was a good server. The Bus Boy was so kind and organized. He was so accommodating that evening. Celebrating daughter birthday. Was hoping they would have brought a little slice of cake for her as we mentioned it was her birthday

My wife and I went to Rise Woodfire for a date night last night. It's the Saturday before Christmas, and we went early (4:45 pm reservations). We were seated in the patio area because the main dining area was reserved for a holiday party. The patio can get cold, but the staff had all the heaters on and it was pretty toasty. We ordered drinks, salad, and pizzas. Service was good and we experienced a comfortable, leisurely dining experience. Food is good, not overly expensive. We'll be back.

The pizza was delicious! However, if going for dinner, try to avoid getting seated in the outdoor covered space because it will be extremely loud from others dining in that space and from the train on the other side of the wall. It becomes difficult to have a conversation with those at your table. The restaurant should add sound absorbing panels in that area.

We were disappointed tonight. Our waitress did not give us the happy hour pricing, our pizza did not arrive after 45 minutes and they seemed disorganized and over subscribed. Salad was good, pizza mushy and hard to eat.

Several of us ordered Prime Rib and were impressed with the variety of sides to choose from. Prime rib is only cooked rare but you can ask them to heat it closer to med rare. Another ordered the beef ribs and was happy with it as the meat was so tender. We just happened to have reservations on the night the Holiday Train showed up so traffic was everywhere and we had to park close to El Camino but it made for a festive evening. The doors in the restaurant opens up to the platform so expect some blaring train horns during your dinner.

We were warmly welcomed and ushered to the covered patio area. They accommodated us early. The food was great. Our ceiling heater wasn't working, so the worker went outside to bring in a standing heater unit. So kind to rectify the problem so quickly and successfully. We ordered a salad, chicken appetizer, cornbread and two pizzas. Everything was great and flavorful. As much as the desserts looked appetizing, we were too full! I would definitely go back!
