   I've tried Ristobar about twice a year since it's opening, and before today, always left a bit disappointed (limited menu, average service, etc.) This time was different, in a very good way! The restaurant was redesigned to separate the bar area (packed!) and the restaurant (all tables full). The menu was expanded, with many choices for salads, appetizers, pastas and main courses. We tried the Gorgonzola salad, but unfortunately, it was lacking the Gorgonzola. With that said, this was quickly resolved, and the salad was delicious. My wife had a prawn appetizer as her main, perfectly prepared. I had the Branzino filet and it was delicious. We also splurged and had the Chocolate Panacotta, I can still taste it, it was sooooo good! Wine by the glass choices were reasonable and plenty too. We'll be back soon!

   the pasta with clams and white wine was was a watery almost red sauce with no flavor. Service was extremely slow. On the plus side the interior is attractive and there is a nice bar.

   They are changing the menu. While the food is good, a number of menu items which we liked, which is one reason we went there, are no longer on menu. For example pinsa is now just 2 boring items. Also pinsa and meats appetizer which was great is gone. New management is changing menu to simplify and probably reduce costs. But the overall is to reduce the variety of foods. Please get rid of new management

   Little Joe's, across the street, is taking some of their business, but this restaurant is a gem. The NY steak and lamb were cooked perfectly. The polenta with the lamb is delicious. Had four different desserts and they were all above par. The service was outstanding. Give this restaurant a try. You won't be sorry.

   Food exceeded our expectations, all pastas homemade in their Larkspur kitchen as well as desserts. The sauces for each pasta were delicate, balanced and full of flavor. Waiter/Manager from France was excellent and the owner made us feel like regulars with welcoming conversation and a surprise arrangement of delicious desserts. They mentioned a coming modification to the wine list which will be a welcome change. They need more price approachable Italian bottles like Chianti’s & Nebbiolo’s. Great bar with TV’s as well. Overall, the 6 of us all loved it and will be sure to return! Thank you for the great experience….

   This restaurant has a vintage-like, elegant decor; there is a super cool bar to the left of the entrance and a sit down dining area on the right. We all loved the ambiance! The halibut, bolognese, and pappardelle w mushroom and sausage were the entrees ordered at our table. All were delicious!! The wait staff were very polite, but super busy, so service was slow. For example, we waited a long time to get drink refills and also parmesan cheese for our pasta dishes. However, we will definitely go back bc we loved the food and ambiance!

   We love Ristobar. We meet friends here every year and they are so accommodating . We wanted a quiet table so we could visit and it was perfect. The food is wonderful. We all had something different and every dish was outstanding. We will be back for sure and hopefully before next year. If we lived in SF we would be regulars. Great food great service and reasonably priced.
