   We had reservations for 2 dinners, Christmas day and following day. Christmas dinner was a buffet. We were seated and we ordered our drinks. When we started at buffet there were no plates available. We mentioned that they said the plates are at the end of the buffet and there were no plates even at the end of the buffet. Then they realized and brought plates. The Stew was not leuk warm and the roast beef was very dry. And had to apply more butter. The server was very hospitable and friendly, but the food did not make the mark for a Christmas dinner. The following day's dinner was sit down style and we enjoyed the food we got served that night. There is plenty of room to improve the food that they serve for price they charge. Overall it is very nice restaurant with good ambience and good hospitable people serving and if they improve more on the food it will flourish.

   We loved our meal here in 2023, unfortunately this year was not very good. Our $12 signature cocktail was boring and sweet, shrimp and grits were flavorless, and our server was sub par. Hocking hills lodge is wonderful, but the restaurant did not come close to executing in relation to prices.

   The restaurant is average. The menu is very skinny without much choice. The quality of food does not meet up with the prices charged.

   We enjoyed the atmosphere, the shrimp and grits was delicious, our server was very polite and offer a great service. We definitely enjoyed and recommend Rock House Restaurant if you are in the area.

   Food was very expensive but also very dry, both the chicken club and the brisket burger. Disappointing for the amount paid.

   What happened to the delicious bone in pork chop that we had last year for my birthday? Replaced it with 2 pieces of shoe leather, over cooked dry pork pieces. What a shame, my sides were good, they offered to replace the meal with something else but it’s too late, you had your chance and you blew it. We won’t be back.

   I think that the prices are reasonable for a high end restaurant but the food was not as good as I thought it would be with a lot of “homemade” items on the menu.

   Everything was delicious, our server was wonderful to us, and we were really surprised with the dessert on the house for our 1st anniversary, it really made our day special. Definitely plan to come again. The beautification fee was a little unexpected, but understanding

    Lunch was good. Dinner was fair. No bread or rolls were served with dinner. When asked the waitress said none was available. Salman and rice were good although a bit dry and ribeye steak was decent. Garlic mashed potatoes and baby carrots were flavorless. Desert was Bavarian Chocolate Torte that was served sans crushed pecans and caramel drizzle as described on the menu. The waitress, while attentive seemed clueless. More training needed. On the plus side it is a beautiful place just not quite a fine dining experience.
