   This place is a hidden gem, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of FiDi and North Beach. Although the cost is a bit of a splurge, it's worth it for a special occasion, date night, family celebration or just dinner with friends. Happy hour is well priced, with delicious cocktails and bites, and chocolate cake on the dessert menu is beyond anything you have ever tasted. I have eaten both in the upstairs (Restaurant Week) and downstairs (Happy Hour) areas, and both have a great ambiance. The downstairs has a lounge/speakeasy vibe that would be perfect for a date.

   We love a good steak. Roka akor is one of our favorite restaurants, we always come here for special events, anniversaries, birthdays. The food is A+, service is professional. The only thing that deduct from this luxury experience is the space. It was quite crowded for a Sunday night dinner. We were seated in a table located right next to the service station and in the middle of other tables. The waiter constantly bump into our chairs walking back and forth. It wasn’t their fault, the table and chairs were set too close to each other to begin with. Other than that we had a positive experience.

   Been to Roka several times, where we usually end up ordering too much food and too much to drink, but always had a good time. Sat outdoors this time, and they were too short staffed to give us the usual Roka treatment, didn’t get served drinks for 30 minutes, waiter was too rushed to give us recommendations—was clear we hadn’t ordered enough food and then had to track him down to order more. Not his fault, he seemed overburdened and had others to attend to. But too expensive a place to get the short shrift. People on the inside seemed warm and having a good time :(

   We took my mom to Roka Akor to dinner for her 68th birthday and had an amazing experience form the second we walked it, warmly greeted us and wished my mom a happy birthday. Sat close to the open kitchen which was a nice touch since we could see them preparing the delicious food, Oscar our server was amazing and took great care of us, he brought us all a glass of bubbly to get the celebrations going! Everything was amazing, from the cold apps to the hot apps, great bottles of wine for the table, only a bit disappointed w the cod which came highly recommended, was a touch fishy which we let Oscar know and took it off the tab, over an amazing way to celebrate my moms bday. The entire staff was amazing and very attentive, highly recommend!

   A beautiful restaurant with a great menu. I believe they may have been short-staffed which caused a downgrade in the quality of food.

   The food was delicious. I did put in my notes that we needed a quiet table because we had a person who has a hearing disability. But we were placed in the center of the restaurant so the person had a hard time hearing us or the waiter. It was also their birthday which was noted in my OpenTable information. But they did not do anything for her birthday which was kind of disappointing. Over all the food was good.

    Loved my first experience at Roka Akor! The staff and bartenders were amazing and walked us through the menu to ensure we made the best selections based on what we were looking for to taste from our dinner preferences. Can’t wait to go back.
