The mushroom truffle kulcha was incredible. Unfortunately what they call naan is not really naan as it is not made in a tandoor. Tastes a bit more like pita bread. The entrées were not served warm the burrata, which is served cold on top of a tepid palaak base was off the mark to me in terms of temperature and lack of texture contrast.

Cuisine was delish fusion that felt like a trendier Taj Campton. Great outdoor seating for dining with your dog. Server had a posh mannerism but was Scottish and looked like a younger skinnier Gordon Ramses! The chef explained the name ROOH means soul in Arabic.

Rooh was a fantastic find. We brought our own wine. We enjoyed the cocktails they had also. We went with the small plate recommended and then ordered large plates after. The food comes out fast so no worries about it taking a long time to come out. The food was spectacular and different than the typical Indian food. We enjoyed everything immensely. The service was also fast and efficient. Overall, a great experience!

The ambiance is great but the food was disappointing - roti was dry, food was cold. Appetizers were the only good part Ridiculously overpriced

Rooh SF offers a vibrant dining experience with a delightful ambience and amazing service! The evening started on a high note with their fantastic drinks selection. The Box Office was a standout — smooth and rich, thanks to the popcorn syrup and butter wash. The Nizami Sharbat, was sweet and refreshing highlighted by the raspberry hibiscus syrup which gave its gorgeous color. The Pondicherry Fizz was the frutiest, either its bright blend of mango and yuzu. The appetizers and small plates truly shine, showcasing their creative interpretations of both north and South Indian cuisine. We particularly enjoyed the Dahi Puri, which had a light, fluffy yogurt topping that added an exquisite texture! The Jackfruit tacos were a blend of slight sweetness and robust spice. The highlight of the meal was the butter chicken masala. It’s thick, creamy sauce was rich with layered spices, making it a dish that we would definitely return for. Unfortunately, the rest of the larger plates didn’t quite live up to the standards set by the earlier dishes. The lamb Kashmiri, while tender, fell flat in flavor. Similarly, the black garlic naan, though intriguing, didn’t stand out, especially when compared to the much more satisfying onion naan we ordered later. Overall, Rooh SF excels in crafting creative cocktails and small plates that impress both taste and creativity, but the larger plates could use a bit more refinement to match the same level of excellence.
