    We have been here several times before and it was great. The food last night was just so-so. The cod fritters are crispy on the outside and seasoned well, but the inside was a cloying paste. The lamb pasta was way too heavy on the dill. The short ribs were not nearly as tender as they should have been. We expected a much better experience.

    Service was impeccable as always. I brought some of my friends and they loved it! Let’s give a great big clap for our a server Taylor. He was there to please and made us feel so welcome and plenty of laughter was had. Thanks again for an awesome dinner and time!!

    Both the food and service were outstanding. Had the deviled eggs as the appetized but should probably have tried the recommended cornbread or Fuyu Persimmon Carpaccio. I had the short ribs which were so tender I could just touch them with my fork, and the sides were delicious. My other half had the Kurobuta Pork Chop, which from my taste was also perfectly prepared. We took their suggestion for the Apple Pie Bread Pudding for dessert and it did not disappoint. Drinks were well presented and just right. Highly recommend.

    This place is a very quaint. The menu offered a sufficient amount of choices to satisfy a soul food craving. The duck fried chicken was good but not spectacular. It needed a bit more salt. The crust on it was crunchy but not seasoned enough. The duck fat made the crust light and flaky. The kind of crust that would not be good eaten cold because of the amount of fat that would cause it to become a very soft breading when eaten cold. I loved the cocktails at this place in particular the “polar bear” and the “kool aid”. I had the beet salad which was the best bet of the night. That dressing was perfect! The hot water cornbread and the turnip greens were something else entirely. The hot water cornbread was not like my own mother’s version. It was hard and fried like a hush puppy with no added fillers like onion or corn. It did not have enough salt or sugar in the batter. There was a very dry consistency which needed to be an incredible amount of butter to moisten them. The turnip greens which are inherently bitter was seasoned very well however they reminded me of “Glory greens” which could be bought at a grocery store near you! The actual turnips were overly vinegars! The raw onion on top was unnecessary! I would return to this restaurant for the cocktails and beet salad! The wait staff was very helpful shout out to Renee! And the bartender! Happy eating and enjoy everyone.😍

    Excellent, as usual. One of the best spots in the DFW area and a must visit every time I am in town.

    Delicious food! The cornbread, fried chicken and pork chop were out of this world. And definitely try the Purple Rain cocktail! Our server Chris was the right amount of attentive.
