Our first Rosa Mexicano in New Jersey is located at The Shops at Riverside in Bergen County. The 160-seat restaurant features a spacious bar and lounge area, as well as outdoor and private dining options. Under the creative direction of architect and designer Timothy Higgins. Known for tableside guacamole service and creative margaritas, Rosa Mexicano offers a fresh take on authentic Mexican cuisine, serving both beloved classics and sophisticated dishes in a fun atmosphere. Our beverage program boasts over 100 varieties of tequila and agave-based spirits, and our signature Latin hospitality is delivered with warmth and professionalism. I didn’t appreciate the Host seating us at a table when I requested a booth. Then she lied and said she had many reservations of 4 people. There was so many tables of 4 open ALSO there was a couple (2ppl) sitting at a booth. Nonetheless, food was really good and my waiter had great customer service.

Our family has been coming to this restaurant over the years to celebrate special occasions and this time our experience was so disappointing. The restaurant was clearly understaffed so the service slow. Our waiter was nice but was too busy to check on us. Having worked in the service industry I don’t fault the wait staff because they can only manage what they can and they work hard. It’s management’s responsibility to ensure there’s enough coverage to make sure their guests have a good experience. When the food finally arrived every meal was cold. At this point we just wanted to eat and leave. This unfortunately is our last time coming to this restaurant.

Since it was Dia de los Muertos, I had high hopes for the menu, but I was let down. The options were the same as the regular diner menu, offering nothing special for this festive occasion. It felt like a false advertisement. The food quality was declining, even though we had to return the item we ordered. I suspect that the chefs aren’t tasting their dishes before serving them. They should also include more vegetarian options.

“The experience at the restaurant was disappointing. The service was decent, but the food, despite being well presented, lacked essential elements. The place looked neglected, and even the burned lights bulbs hadn’t been replaced. Very weak atmosphere, and I don’t plan to return. I was surprised by the level of neglect, especially since I usually enjoy the branch in the city.”

Last night’s experience at Rosa Mexicano was awesome. Hector is an outstanding server and a true shining star. Thank you Hector for making our dinner so memorable. The dinner was delicious. We ate guacamole and queso fundido for appetizers. Enchiladas and pork belly pibil tacos for our main course. So good. The manager Maryann was great too.

I dined with a party of service and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, our drinks delectable and the service outstanding. A special shout out to our waiter Hector. He was so patience and outstanding of our groups needs. I went with his recommendation of a frozen pomegranate margarita cocktail and a shrimp entree. I couldn't be more please.

Great place to stop in for a quick bite to eat. Service is fast and friendly. Food is very good. They also have a nice bar area and outdoor seating.

Had dinner with friends and it was wonderful. Nice margaritas, good fresh guacamole, and the tacos were perfect. We especially liked that there are yummy vegetarian options here.
