    Was very pleased and sort of surprised by how much we enjoyed dinner at Rosebud on Rush. Elit exceeded my expectations considerably. My wife and I were enjoying an evening out together. We ordered the grilled vegetable appetizer to start. There were so many vegetables and they were all done perfectly- red, green, yellow peppers Eggplant. Zucchini. Squash. Mushrooms. Onions Broccolini. Asparagus. And more. Perfectly grilled. Nice sauce with it also. For mains, we ordered Short Ribs with Polenta, and Tagliatelle Bolognese. Both were excellent. The rib dish was plentiful. Well cooked. Very tasty. The polenta was good and the sauce was well seasoned and not too salty, which often happens. The tagliatelle was wonderful also. Its sauce was also flavored well and the basil in it removed any need for additional salt. We ate as much as we could but still brought plenty of all three items home. For dessert, we had a slice of tiramisu. It was a large piece, certainly more than enough for two of us. Service was very good. We sat on the patio which was still enclosed and quite comfortable. The value was good. It is not cheap, but the food is plentiful and excellent. Worth the money. We found the atmosphere and ambiance lively - it was a little loud and energetic, but in many ways that’s a good thing. We enjoyed the entire experience.

    Sunday brunch is every bit as gracious, charming, and delicious as dinners are at Rosebud. Classic Italian ambiance and service. Omelettes are perfect.

    We came for lunch for my daughter’s birthday and had an amazing experience. Service was fabulous and food was outstanding. Our server was very friendly and prompt. Noise level was also very good. I was able to hear everyone at the table at any time. We will be returning if we find ourself in this part of Chicago again.

    Did not live up to its reputation. Food and service were both mediocre at best. And pricy. And worst of all, Fox News was on the tv over the bar. Really??? Pick a station more mainstream like sports or something.

    We got the specials for the night and they were outstanding! One was risotto with shrimp, the other was sea bass which had been freshly caught that day. Dessert were homemade pistachio ice cream and the chocolate 7 layer cake. Both were exceptional. Ambiance and service was top notch.
