Rudy's Steakhouse is the premier steakhouse of Salem. They take great pride in their gold medal winning steaks, aging their beef in house and hand cutting their steaks daily. Their soups are made from scratch and are known to be some of the best in town. All of their gourmet sauces and salad dressings are also made from scratch, using only the finest ingredients. 

Trying one of their award winning fresh Marionberry infused cocktails is a must! Their Marionberry Lemon Drop might be the most famous cocktail in Salem. Furthermore, their Marionberry Cobbler and Blueberry Bread Pudding are some of the most incredible desserts you will ever try!

    Not a world class steak house, but I guess I should not have expected that in Salem. We were not seated until 20 minutes after our reservation time even though the restaurant was not very crowded. After we were seated they hostess asked if we wanted menus. Why would we have not wanted menus? She came back with them and slapped them on the table instead of handing them to us. When the server came to take our orders she said they were out of Brussels sprouts because "they were still recovering from Valentine's Day" (which was 9 days ago - guess their produce is not very fresh). We wanted a long time for our salads, then our entrees were brought out before we were done with our salads. To me at a restaurant at that price point that is unacceptable. Steaks were good, but will not be back.

    It was absolutely wonderful. Food delicious and well presented. Some of the steak options a bit pricey. Chelsey and others were fabulous. Tks too to Cali for getting my gift card issue resolved.

    Food consistent and very good, serivice always excellent, excellent wine and cocktail lists was a little slow tonight made for a quieter and more leisure dining experience which was superb my only criticism is the menu could use an update and additon of another fish option milder than salmon like halibut, cod, rockfish etc either as regular menu irem of special.Deserts are excellent

    We had a birthday reservation for 3pm and waited over 15 mins to be seated. Was excited to dine here for my birthday and was expecting for them to have done a little something for my birthday as every other restaurant has done for a special occasion but they didn’t. The service was ok but it seemed as they just wanted us in and out. Felt rushed. The food was super salty and I found a hair in my pasta. The restaurant was quiet. No music or anything. Would definitely not come back.

    Once again, out of prime rib early in the evening. Not sure how that can happen in a first-rate restaurant, but it happens more often than it should. Jordan is a great server, attentive, without being in the way of good conversation. She's a "keeper" and we always enjoy having her for our server! The rib eye was excellent even though it wasn't my first choice. My wife's fillet was good too. Please don't ever change your sauteed brussel sprouts recipe, except maybe to use less sugar (it would still be very good!). Great ambience in the upper dining room across from the hostess station, but not so much in the side room past the wine display. Haven't ever been seated in the lower dining area, and prefer the upper one. The food costs have gotten high enough to where we can't dine at Rudy's as often as we'd like to. That's a shame because we love the staff, the food and the ambience.

    First waitress had so much skanky perfume we had to ask for another server . She was nice, but you could smell her perfume from across the room. Finally got to order, we asked for a couple glasses of wine, waiter was quite attentive. Ordered a large prime rib and a rib eye steak, both medium rare. Prime rib was ice cold , the rib eye was well done, not juicy at all. Waiter replaced both meals. The prime rib was 90 percent fat, the rib eye was closer to medium rare. I asked the waiter what quality the meat was and he said it was choice. For the price , I said it should be Prime, since you have your own butcher shop. I said to the waiter that my way overpriced steak was no better than a $6.00 a pound Safeway steak. I have no problem spending money on a good quality steak. The waiter gave us half off in our meals. Still a lot of money to spend on a prime rib that was all fat and gristle and a rib eye steak that was as chewy as a pencil eraser. Plus the potato wasn’t cooked through and the asparagus was cold. Neither coffee or dessert was offered, just a check. My brother took me out for my 75th birthday and I ended up with a horrible case of indigestion. This is not a good memorable experience.

    The noise level was was very, very loud, the smoke from the grill was overwhelming. My Husband loved his pork chop and mashed potatoes. Pork was cooked perfectly. The prawns appetizer was wonderful. However, my salad the chicken was so tough. I couldn’t chew it. The nuts had a caramel sugar content that stuck to my teeth. Very hard to eat. However, the salad had a very wonderful wonderful flavor. The hostesses were amazing. They stepped in and cleared tables. They never stop. Well done girls.

    As an out of towner I’ve been twice in two weeks. The ambiance and service is great. All of the steaks at my table have been consistently cooked to the correct temperature and very flavorful. They were out of a few items post vday but it was still a good experience. Love the brussel sprouts.
