   We have been going to Russell's for over 18 years. We have never been disappointed. The food is always excellent. The server's are the best. You will not be disappointed.

   Simple Fantastic Christmas Even dinner. We have been coming here for YEARS. Best Rocky Mountain Trout around and the crab legs are amazing!

   I come to dine several times a year, and this time I was surprised to find that the menu had changed. They removed several winning dishes, including the tuna sashimi and the mud pie. The sides for the main course were also modified, but for the worse. I am canceling my second reservation for this vacation.

   We dined here 2 years ago and loved it. We had a totally different experience tonight… we will not be going back. Our server rushed us from the moment we sat down. Even after asking her to slow down, as we were making a night of it, she continued to rush us to order our entrees prior to our 3 appetizers being on the table. They kept trying to clear the table from the appetizers after we told them we were still working. And they tried to start clearing our entree plates when half of our party was clearly still eating. On top of that, the server included gratuity when our party was only 5 people. And charged for every soft drink refill. For a restaurant of this caliber, we are incredibly disappointed.

   The overall experience was very nice. We came in after celebrating at the 10th Mt Distillery across the street and they were a very easy reservation process even showing up 10 mins early. They were fantastic in terms of making a very memorable anniversary celebration. Appreciate the staff service and delicious meal. Look forward to the next time. -Jake B.

   We arrived on time for our 5pm reservation for 4 people. The host didn't ask if we had a reservation and I asked for a table by the windows near the bar. Her response was that the 1st table was reserved and took me to the 2nd table. She then asked if there was just 3 in our party and I responded that the 4th was coming as he was outside. I then went to the hostess table and told another woman that I was checking in for our reservation for 4 under the name of French. It was then that they finally confirmed our reservation. The waitress took our drink order. At this point there were only 8 people in the restaurant. The drink order took over 10 minutes. It should have been 5 or less. At around 5:15 she took our dinner order. At around 5:55, she came to the table for the 1st time since taking our order. Never did she come back to ask how our drinks were nor asking if we needed another round of drinks. She informed us that our meal was delayed as there were new people in the kitchen being trained which was causing a delay in our order. Finally around 6:05, our meal arrived. Two orders of salmon, 2 wedge salads and a order of the scallops. The wedge salads looked nice. The meat wrapped scallops were under cooked and the meat was wrap was way under cooked. Nobody else ever came to the table after the meal was served. No manager and not the person that took our order. I never saw so many employees walking past our table doing nothing. The water waiter was very attentive. The empty plates were removed by employees in an orderly manner. After an hour and 45 minutes we paid and left. Being the 1st 4 of 8 at 5pm, the whole meal should have taken around an hour. We sat in a very noisy area as the bar was crowded. I don't know if I will return.     The food was cold as it was served on cold plates. The cowboy rib-eye was a thin cut piece of meat - maybe 1/2 inch. Not appetizing looking and was served cold. The filet was cold so no juices ran out when cut. The broccoli and potatoes that were placed on the cold plates before any meat was added sat on the cold plates for a long time before being served to us. I know this because we were seated at a booth right beside the chef station which is the worst place to be seated. Our reservation was 5:45 and the hostess passed by all the nicer empty tables to take us all the way back to this booth without asking for our preference of seating. We couldn’t even enjoy the restaurant ambiance. They also let us know that they did not have the side dish of carrots. We did tell all of this to the manager. They did give us a 10% discount and apologized and stated they had a large take out order to the fire department that was a surprise to them before we came in at 5:45. I believe the fire department does come first but it was never communicated to us until we waited a long time for our cold food. I understand it was an odd night but a fine dining restaurant should be on top of their preparations, communication and service. Extremely disappointed compared to the other times we have eaten there.
