We were looking forward to our dinner at Ryla and the service was good and food was good, but we were not blown away as we had hoped.
Menu was interesting and we tried a few things - starters and dinner - strip steak, Caesar, ribs, truffle rice and a couple of others. The standout by far was the Caesar salad and the rest was ok.

The food is divine. Excellent menu with twists and turns that are unexpected. Compliments to the chefs for their creativity. The cocktails are also incredibly unique and delicious. All that is complimented by top level service. Def my new favorite in the South Bay.

Sophisticated and sultry Asian fusion in Hermosa Beach with a low-key, urban beat. Hokkaido Milk Bread with briny, chive spread melts in your mouth. The lamb chops were perfected grilled--tender and juicy. Order the dragon roll! Tons of Asian spirits, sake and liquors to sit back and relax with. Do not skip dessert. Matcha tiramisu and chocolate mousse with candied orange and blood orange filling were as beautiful as they were tasty. Bring your friends and enjoy the experience.

Everything was amazing and perfect except the one negative thing is that every time I make a reservation, I still have to wait at least 10-20 mins to get seated.

Amazing food. Great atmosphere. The Loaded Potato Skins & Kaluga Caviar and the Blue Crab California Roll were our favorites. Cocktails were excellent. Our server was helpful recommending a wonderful bottle of Sake. Definitely going back and definitely recommending to friends.

Excellent staff - great food but be specific on your reservation. Made mine a week or more in advance and still sat at the skinny bar window at the front door instead of a table.

Second time trying Ryla as I hated the first experience and didn’t want to return again. But my husband convinced me to try it again since it wasn’t a holiday with a pice fixe menu. We had Evan as our waiter. He’s amazing so personable & friendly. He makes this joint thrive in my opinion. He’s very attentive and always on his game.
We had an order of rids recommended by Evan. They were unbelievable! So tender and flavorful. Then we had and order of salmon & tuna nigiri. OMG if I tell you how damn good that is!! We ordered 3 more orders of that!! We also had truffle fried rice, not much excitement there. It tasted more like regular mushrooms than truffle. I wouldn’t get that again. Stick with the salmon & tuna nigiri and the ribs!! They were all amazing!!
We had 2 cocktails, 1 was a coconut base, can’t remember the name but that was awesome. It went down too easy and we had multiples!
I’m glad I gave it a second chance, it was a night and day experience compared to the first time.
