The team behind the Carbone restaurants that are now dazzling Dallas isn’t just about Italian. Their sparkling Sadelle’s in Highland Park Village is a New York deli — but hardly your typical one, which is why it stands out. Smoked salmon and sturgeon and deli sandwiches? Sure. But breakfast tacos, caviar, and Asian skirt steak, too.

Sadelle’s is a modern ode to New York’s classic tradition of all-day dining. Since opening its first location in the heart of SoHo in 2016, the brand has reached iconic status thanks to its urbane, celebratory atmosphere and a menu of hits, including the best bagels in America. Among its many accolades, Sadelle’s was named an essential brunch destination by Harper’s BAZAAR and Cosmopolitan, and its sticky buns were ranked one of the Best Dishes of 2015 by The New York Times. Sadelle’s currently has outposts in New York, Las Vegas, Miami, Paris, Boca Raton, and Dallas. The restaurant is named after MFG Co-Founder Jeff Zalaznick’s great grandmother.

    Upon ordering from the indifferent server, we were informed that the triple decker, matzo ball soup, and latkes were unavailable. Consequently, our entire order had to be revised. This occurred at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday brunch. It would have been beneficial to receive this information while we were seated. However, when we requested additional time to make our selections, the server expressed annoyance. This experience was unsatisfactory.

    The kitchen and the bar closes too early. Mainly though it's just that there weren't enough people there to feel festive.

    We had a wonderful lunch at Sadelle’s. The food was yummy, the service impeccable and the atmosphere a step back in time. So fun!! Reservations are a must! I highly recommend Sadelle’s!

    I’ve been there several times for brunch and it’s great. Unfortunately, it seems as though the B team is on the night shift. The waiter didn’t know the menu, kept offering things we couldn’t eat, after we were asking for Gluten Free options, denied us to get a water craft, because he said his manager would get upset, yet was not ok top of refilling the water. The wait time was very long. We had to ask for the check twice. A while later we just stood up and were actively looking for the waiter to pay. We asked for medium rare burger, the patties were incredibly hard. It was disappointing, as I wanted my husband to try this place since I go for brunch often.
