Steps from Gulf Coast sunsets, Sails recalls the finest coastal flavors of France, Italy and Greece in each bite. Pairing the freshest food with exceptional five-star service amid beachy-chic décor, relaxed sophistication prevails at Sails, with a nod to the gracious manners of traditional fine dining, ever-so-slightly modernized. A display of whole fish delicacies from deep-azure seas are hand selected by each guest, then prepared to personalized perfection via wood-grilling or searing a la plancha. Sip craft cocktails or Sancerre while savoring just-shucked oysters at the sail-shaped hand-carved marble bar. Watch chefs in the open kitchen prepare tantalizing seafood towers. The menu encourages multitude courses in true European style starting with raw bar, crudo and tartares followed by luscious lobster or seared Kobé over just-picked organic produce. Elevated homemade pasta preludes composed seafood selections plus mouthwatering superior cuts of beef, redefining refined indulgence.

Tuna was pretty bad. No taste to it and I order tuna all of the time and this was one of the worst I ever had, Grey goose Martini was poor because someone mixes it with something else on their own Coffee drink my wife ordered came out three times and had no whip cream. She ordered it hot , came out cold and on the third try she drank it. Dover sole was salty and not very good. The scallop appetizer was poor For the price and poor food we will never be back. The waitstaff however was excellent.

This is the 3rd time we went to the champagne brunch. It is our Holiday tradition. The first two times were outstanding, everything was perfect. Today was a bit disappointing. Being there two previous times, we knew that you had all you care to enjoy in each course, before you moved onto the next course. We were fine with that. This time, they said since we didn’t finish every dish that we ordered we were limited to 3 things per person. We never heard anything like this first two times we were there, so we knew nothing about it. My mother didn’t finish the quiche because it was undercooked and runny, I didn’t finish my crepe because it was too dry and we literally left a small bite of the cheese soufflé. So the waitress wasn’t going to let us get anything else. When we complained to her she said that that since my Mother did say her quiche wasn’t cooked well, and that I didn’t complain about the crepe at the time (was trying to be nice and had it the previous year and it was fine) she let us order one more item and that was it. For $169 per person, this was ridiculous. We never even got the dessert course. The manager, did come over and apologize and try to explain this rule and when we said the previous two times we were there, this never happened. It really put a damper on our Holiday tradition and for the price I don’t think we will go back.

Recently, I dined at a restaurant in Naples that came highly recommended, touted as one of the best in town. While there were some undeniable highlights, the overall experience left much to be desired, particularly given the steep prices. The ambiance was inviting, and the staff—many of whom were seasonal workers from Europe—were exceptionally friendly and attentive. This added a nice touch of warmth to the evening. However, a few key missteps dampened the experience. ### The Food We were a party of four and started with the **tuna tartare**, which was simply amazing—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, the **beef tartare** fell short, feeling uninspired and lacking the finesse one would expect from such a dish. The **red beet salad** was another standout, balancing earthy and tangy flavors perfectly. For mains, the **Little Joe tenderloin** was cooked well and enjoyable, but it wasn’t a dish I’d rave about or hurry to order again. The **lobster ravioli**, on the other hand, was a highlight of the evening with its delicate flavors, but the portion size was laughably small. It felt more like an amuse-bouche than an entrée. The biggest disappointment came with the **American red snapper**. My wife and I requested fish and were steered toward the snapper without any clear indication of what we were in for. When the dish arrived, it was a staggering 3.4 pounds—for just two people. This felt like an obvious attempt to upsell, and while the fish itself was decent, the portion size was overwhelming and left a sour taste in our mouths. It’s hard to enjoy a meal when you feel pressured into such an excessive—and expensive—choice. To make matters worse, there were no sides included with the mains, which only emphasized the feeling of being nickel-and-dimed. ### Final Thoughts The restaurant has its moments of brilliance, and I can see why some people love it. However, the combination of inconsistent dishes, tiny portions, aggressive upselling,
