   Sunday night dinner after a movie and the atmosphere was so nice! We had Sam as our server and he was amazing, very attentive and friendly while offering great food and drink recommendations.

   We have eaten here too many times to count. Always great food and excellent service. Very generous portions. A true gem in the heart of Midtown / Colony Square.

   The ambience and location is nice! If you decide to take photos, please make sure the flash is turned off or management will address you about it. The winners were the crab dip and bananas, foster bread pudding. The entrée we had which was the pappardelle was very watery and honestly taste it like an elevated “hamburger helper” type pasta. The stuffed oysters were just OK.  i’d probably return for drinks and dessert but that’s about it.

   All the food was great, I just don’t like smash burgers and if it was listed as such I missed it, prefer a regular burger

   My wife and I went for our anniversary and have a few complaints. Firstly, I made a reservation a week out. When we arrived there were a couple of guys ahead of us requesting a table for two who were told to wait. I was disappointed that my wife and I were seated at a tiny table in the corner with a few other small tables. There was a nice private booth behind us, but the two walk-ins ended up seated there. I didn't ask for a specific table so I guess it's also my fault, but we have never been so didn't know the layout. This is not necessarily a big deal, but I just wish we could had been seated at a better table sine we did reserve in advance. Secondly, I planned to get the filet with the fries and brussels. I don't like brussels and noticed there are other sides available. We asked if we could sub the brussels for green beans or broccolini and we were told no, but he could remove them from the plate and we could order a side at full price. The brussels were $9 and the other two were $12. Obviously I would be okay paying the difference, but not extra when we wouldn't eat what was included. I opted to just share with my wife and decided not to give them anymore money by ordering anything for myself. Lastly, the steak was not good. The "filet" was not a good cut and had a large chunk of gristle that I had to spit out. I've had much better steaks for the same or cheaper price. I have no desire to ever return to Saints and Council. It was in a neat location and the atmosphere inside was nice.

   Saints+Council is always a delicious and delightful experience!! Everything from drinks to food to service is wonderful!! Love this place!! Perfect on a cold winter night!!
