Our waitress Claire B was phenomenal and very informative. We started w half a dozen oysters, Calamari and a beet salad w goat cheese and walnuts For dinner unfortunately mine was out - it was the “catch of the day” so to speak so she helped me pick another comparable (I always get sea bass so wanted something different) So I got red grouper with the broccolini and husband got the filet with risotto - oh and the rolls are amazing - we’d prefer it with the compind butter that was on the steak vs the sweet It comes with but our preference only We couldn’t make our mind up for dessert so got the hummingbird cake and chocolate cake to eat at home. However we did sample and Claire was right the hummingbird cake is amazing - as is the choco! We will definitely be revisiting to try more of the options.

Salt at Geist delivers good food in a casual setting. The menu is seafood heavy but with significant options to provide the diners with choices. They offer numerous appetizers and several salad options. Of particular note was the artichoke crab pot. My only critique involves a rather limited wine list. The wines offered were quality wines but I would have preferred to see a more expansive wine list. Our server was excellent and attentive. All in all a very pleasant evening and a good meal.

Overall our experience was very good! We had the Artichoke Crab Pot to start(highly recommend) and a couple of the Valentine Special drinks which were delicious. For entrees we had the Fire Pasta with lots of seafood and just the right amount of heat. We also had the scallops with orange blossom honey sauce and grilled asparagus. I also ordered a side of Nana’s Mac and Cheese. The scallops were perfectly seared and so fresh. I haven’t eaten scallops like that in Indiana and never thought I would be able to. The only complaint I had was my Mac and cheese didn’t come out with my dinner and I had to ask for it. It wasn’t as warm as it should have been but still tasted good. Our desserts were also delicious we had the limoncello cake which was sweet my husband expected and would have liked a little more tart. The key lime chiffon cake was divine! Perfect amount of tart and sweet. Our server Olivia was very attentive and helpful. We look forward to going back.

We hoped for a more upscale experience than we received. Our server was excellent, but we were seated in a very chilly corner in the farthest part of the restaurant. The atmosphere was blah. The food presentation left a lot to be desired, and did not reflect the prices paid for our meal. Overall, we were disappointed in our Valentine's Day evening meal and do not plan on returning to this Salt location.

This was our first time visiting Salt. It was much more spacious inside than I thought it would be, yet still felt comfortable & warm due to having different seating areas vs one big open room. We really liked the lighting and the decor, there was music in the background that wasn’t too overwhelming yet still made it feel like a fun Friday night. The ambiance alone makes me excited to dine there again. My daughter and I shared four appetizers and liked each one. Our favorite was the poke … beautiful presentation, and the rice underneath was addictive. The only preference I would have next time is no Sriracha mayo drizzled on it, instead just a little of that caramel soy they put under the rice. The calamari was nice and crunchy … it had good flavor on its own, but the dipping sauce was also good. The spicy tuna roll was nice & fresh, lovely presentation. Our least favorite of the four were the dumplings. They were really good, but didn’t need to be served in the citrus chile sauce. Maybe just squeeze a bit of it over the dumplings versus filling the bottom of the dish with it? Every dish that went by us to other tables looked amazing. Next time I’m excited to try the oysters Rockefeller and lamb lollipops, plus the skillet bread.

The food was awesome. The service not so much. Our server was MIA most of the evening. He wasn’t very attentive and not knowledgeable about the menu when it came to gluten free. I’m not sure if he was new there because it was our first time. So I have nothing to compare this to. Next time we will try the other location. You would think that management would pay attention to the floor and if people are looking around for their server. We got there at 5:15pm and was there until well after 7pm. Dinner for two people.

The experience was very great. Me and my girlfriend attended for Valentines Day Dinner and the vibes were good and the food and drinks were great. I had the Parmesan Crusted Chilean Sea Bass w/ Parmesan Risotto/ Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Butter Sauce. My girlfriend got the Salmon w/ Mashed Potatoes/ Sautéed Asparagus and Citris Chili Sauce.

We dined at Salt at Geist on Valentines Day. We had sea bass and halibut respectively. Both were cooked to perfection and I would have no trouble recommending. Service was very good. My wife raved about the lobster bisque however for my taste it was average at best. I enjoy dining there.
