San Laurel is one of the flagship restaurants in Chef José Andrés’ collection at Conrad Los Angeles. Here, he effortlessly combines his signature forward-thinking approach to Spanish cuisine with the gorgeous produce found at Southern California’s year-round farmers’ markets. San Laurel is open daily for breakfast and dinner service.

The restaurant’s interior combines organic, earthy tones and natural wood finishes with richer hues to complement what’s on the plate: the flavors of Spain as seen through a California lens.

Our server was very knowledgeable about the wines and the menu and gave us the time and space to figure out what we wanted without rushing us but was spot on to return to our table to follow up- how many times in most restaurants you ask for more time to decide and the server forgets you? Not so with our server she was very attentive and accommodating and made our experience memorable and special! The food was a great with an interesting take on the classics. Our only quibble was arriving 15 min early and being told we would be seated closer to our reservation time due to large parties leaving but 10 min later we were seated in a largely empty restaurant section, not a deal breaker but why not seated when we arrived?

Fantastic experience overall. No minuses except price maybe. The restaurant is on the 10th floor of the Conrad hotel building. Walk across street from Disney Hall where we were before the dinner. Recommend multiple shared plates and a couple of the main courses. Drinks were excellent. Service was top notch. Highly recommend as a special occasion place to go to.

Lunch now starts at 11 which was a disappointment for us arriving then and hoping for brunch/breakfast. The menu was very sparse tho good and the service was unconcerned and uninformed. We could scarcely get our bill in time for our 1:00 show. We won’t be going back for our pre theater meal in the future.

We enjoy going to the theater and are always looking for a good place to get a meal before or after. We tried San Laurel for the first time and were delighted. The service (thank you, Johnnie) couldn’t have been better. He asked before we ordered and what time the show was so he could be mindful of the timing of the courses. My husband and I aren’t meat eaters so we kept to the appetizer section and ordered several of the vegetarian options to share. The olive oil cracker with membrillo and cheese was heavenly, the eggplant, and wild mushrooms both had sauces that made us want to lick the bowls clean. The only downside was the restaurant seemed a bit noisy due to all the hard surfaces with nothing to help absorb sound. We ate relatively early and the dining room was half empty so I wonder how loud it would be at full capacity. I’m looking forward to going back again and hopefully for a matinee show so we can try brunch.

I came to the restaurant to celebrate anniversary with my wife and there was zero acknowledgement of that fact. Our server was fine. The food was average. I probably wouldn’t come here for a special occasion as the restaurant did nothing to help make the meal feel particularly special.

Great food, great service. But I was disappointed the food came all at once. Courses should be serve one at a time, we had a whole table of food and it felt like the restaurant is pushing customers to finish in a hurry. Didn't like the feeling.

We loved half of the menu and did not like the other half at all. We did the Christmas day tasting menu. For $500, I want to like every single thing on the menu! I had high expectations for the lobster, but it was a tiny 4”X half inch sliver of lobster that was almost raw with a slippery texture. Not sure if it was meant to be served that way, but it just didn’t taste good. Like many other customers, a lot of the food items came at the same time and we felt like we were being rushed out of the restaurant. we were seated at a 2 top table that was too small. We were never given our own plates (no room) and we’re surprised we had to eat directly out of the serving dishes. We were disappointed in the experience.

Very inventive and delicious menu. Service felt a little rushed but it was a lot of food to get through.

Lovely service and lovely food. It’s hard to read the menu and know what your food will be like so make sure to ask the server for descriptions if you’ve got picky eaters in your party.
