   Authentic Roman Taste I’m happy to report that Sandro’s food is just as good on East 86th as it was on 81st. I’m even happier that they were the ones cleaning the punterelle not me.

   They placed us by a table near the windows and entrance, which was uncomfortably cold. They pushed back at our request to find a table in a different area of the restaurant. when they finally agreed, It took them a half an hour to find a new table. With that said, when we did move, the service was very good as well as the food. As PS... I want to thank Sandro's for their follow up and response, which were very genuine and sincere. Things will happen, how we handle those moments defines us, and they handled it well.

   Sandro’s is an absolute gem that delivers an exceptional dining experience on all fronts. The restaurant seems to always draw a full house, a testament to its well-earned reputation. The service is impeccable—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm, making you feel like a cherished guest from the moment you walk in. Sandro Jr is always humble and overlooking the operations. The food is nothing short of outstanding, with every dish crafted to perfection. The attention to detail and the use of high-quality ingredients really shine. Standouts like the bucatini amatriciana and the ever changing specials make each visit a new adventure. Not kidding they had 16 specials last night! The wine list is equally extraordinary. Sandro’s captures the essence of true Italian dining, combining authenticity with a dedication to quality that makes every visit memorable and eager to return again and again!! Highly recommended for anyone who loves exceptional Italian food and wine in a welcoming, family run, but elegant atmosphere!

   Best local italian restaurant on the planet. I’ve missed this place so much. Finally came back to NYC and lucky enough to get a table. Amazing good. Crazy wine bottle list. Even better service. 10 out of 10
