Old~world elegance meets contemporary cuisine in a venue that boasts one of the best outdoor dining experiences in Santa Fe. Nestled in the charm and elegance of one of Santa Fe's most beloved historical homes, Santacafé has been a restaurant icon for over 40 years. It was bought in 2019 by Santa Fe restauranteur Quinn Stephenson - the driving force behind another Santa Fe legend, Coyote Café. Boasting one of the best outdoor patio dining experiences the City Different has to offer, Santacafé combines the traditions of modern American cooking with exquisitely locally sourced ingredients.

Jeremy and Cassi provided an exceptional dining experience. Jeremy, our server was outgoing and once he learned that we have been coming to Santa Cafe since its opening in 1983 and that my wife's birthday was a few weeks away, he provided desert and champagne free of charge. Cassi, the manager game by to say hello and refilled our complimentary champagne glasses. We had the calamari (best in Santa Fe), the Caesar salad, the beef bourginon and a bottle of Pinot Noir. Fabulous all.

Was my first visit here in years. I should not have waited. From the moment my group walked in, we felt very comfortable and welcomed. The food and service was spot-on. There is nothing the restaurant could have done differently to make our visit more enjoyable. What a wonderful evening.

The mussels were horrible. The original recipe was much better and wonderful. I told our waiter how disappointed I was with large number of garbanzo beans and chunks of chorizo with the mussels. The sauce was too thick - almost like marinara. My husband liked his salmon. Our two guests were satisfied with a salad and the other with tacos. Just didn’t feel special. We’ve been going to Santa cafe for twenty years. Today seemed like it’s lost its value.

The 4 of us had 4 different dishes-calamari, steak and frites, dumplings, and apple/fig salad- ALL DELICIOUS!

Santa Cafe has always been a favorite, and it showed us why again for this lunch. The restaurant is lovely, the staff friendly and attentive, but not overbearing, and the food was delicious.

Always good and consistent tough I need to broaden by menu selection but, darn it, the steak frites are just too delicious.
