   It was such a cute dim lit place. Its big but alot of tables so feels small but it’s still such a cute dining experience. Service was 🤩🤩 amazing especially being busy on a Friday night! Loved it. Food portions are huge!

   We went to Sapori Trattoria for dinner with another couple we hadn’t seen for awhile. We ordered some wine and beer to start with. Then we ordered charred octopus, insalata rustica and minestrone soup as starters. For main course we had gnocchi, salmon and rigatoni. All the food tasted good and the portions were generous. Service was okay. The main problem was the noise level, which was deafening. Indoor seating is crowded and It was almost impossible for us to carry on a conversation.  We had dinner at this restaurant earlier in the summer, when we sat outside. That was pleasant. We do not recommend indoor seating in this restaurant.

   Sapori is simply a solid, "go to" in this neighborhood. The food is consistently great and the ambience gives you all of the Chicago feels that you are looking for. It's a great, local spot to bring your out-of-town visitors to! To be safe, make a reservation ahead of time... don't expect to show up and get a table at this restaurant without a reservaton, especially on the weekends.

   We wanted to try a new restaurant our server was nice, however it was soo loud and busy we were seated in the middle of the crowd and people were standing too close to us. Food was ok

   Great spot! Food was great, not mind-blowing. Service was wonderful, music was a little loud and obnoxious. Don’t mind being sat close to other people but maybe not turn up the music so much..I will be back to try other stuff!

   I have come here every time I'm in Chicago, and ref'd everyone I know who travels there as well. I tell them about the ambiance, and attentiveness of the staff who always made it a point welcome me back. This time I was bringing my wife and family for the first time, for my wives birthday. I had bragged about the service, and food, but not a single mention of the occasion in the booking, nor did the waiter ask or make it special. The waiter was absent almost the entire night, the bread we got with our oil/vinegar was rock hard and cold, so I got up to ask someone for a basket of warm bread because we never saw our waiter. They quickly said they'd bring some but it never came. The table was so small and cramped for our party that we could barely put our three appetizers on the table. The main course and apps were great, we just had to wait a very long time to put in an order, and were not able to get drinks consistently at the table. This is the worst experience I'd every had here, and I'm guessing it's because they are now so busy and crowded that they lost what made them special in a city that thrives on money over service. The tip was already included so there was no incentive for good service. If you live in the area, and don't mind a noisy Friday with decent food it's probably worth it, but I won't be flying back to eat there.

    typically great neighborhood Italian spot, even busy on a Sunday night. Very good food and great atmosphere with attentive (if someone stretched) staff.
