Chef Carta brings the authentic simple elegance of the Sardinian dining tradition to your table. Sardinian cuisine is known for the purity of food and flavors. To insure the authenticity of the dining experience Chef has imported an authentic hood wood-burning oven for the kitchen. The menu is focused on farm fresh and locally grown food. Chargrilled meats and local fish will be cooked in the oven as it is in Sardinia. Taste the Sardinia bread, know as Pane carasau, baked fresh daily which welcomes you at your table. The pasta dough is also made fresh daily. Revel in the authentic Sardinian paella made with fregola and enjoy the unique flavor of bottarga. To maximize the pleasure of sharing good food with good friends, Sardinia has 45 seats- 24 in the main dining room, a chefs table for 10 and 13 seats in the bar area. Good food-good conversation-good friends. A true Sardinia experience you will not forget.

Linguine and clams were perfection. Ravioli with sage butter and walnuts was excellent as well. All pastas are homemade. Service was excellent. Small restaurant, cozy. Extensive wine list, no cocktails. Only disappointment was the dessert menu. A little short on choices, lots of gelato and pudding like desserts. Where’s the tiramisu or a cake or two? No descriptions for the desserts so no tempting you there! Overall a very enjoyable experience. Oh, yes the lasagna was also excellent and served piping hot. Ariana was our server; she was charming, personable, provided insight regarding some of the menu entrees, and an excellent server all around.

Our first visit was excellent. Antonio made us feel welcome and was very helpful with wine selection and entree information. The paella was very good but I had the real star of the show: homemade pasta with chunks of grouper. The portions were plentiful, the bread is authentic to Sardinia and the octopus was great.

By far one of the best Italian restaurants in SRQ. So fresh and delicious! And the chef comes out to chat!!! Definitely a ‘locals’ spot - that’s how you know it’s good, too ❤️

Wonderful experience. We’ve been several times. The food is always excellent. They prepare their food in the manner of Sardinia and not Italian. We highly recommend Sardinia. The staff by the way are professional, warm and knowledgeable. 5 Stars indeed!!
