We had to send several food items back that were not properly prepared, including a fresh vegetable side where the vegetables were wilted and not very fresh. We have a picky eater and discovered that the one item on the menu they would eat was pre-made and could not be modified. We asked about a simple buttered noodles and was told no despite having several pasta items on the menu. The service was average at best.

Visited National Harbor the busy weekend before Christmas and this was one of the few places we could get a reservation. We walked from our hotel past half a dozen restaurants bursting with diners so we were surprised when we arrived to a dining room empty except for two other tables. Bad sign but we were very hungry so we stayed. The tomato soup was more like marinara and my wife’s steak, ordered medium came barely medium rare. Our server, who was attentive and helpful, did get it re-fired quickly and the flavor once at the proper temperature was just ok for $39.00. But my pan seared salmon over linguine with beurre blanc sauce was a dried out piece of frozen salmon on top of a bed of pasta swimming in some kind of broth with hunks of grocery store off season tomatoes, half inch cuts of hard asparagus stalks and raw garlic floating around the edges for $34.00, it was diner quality at best. Guess the locals already knew what we found out…there are lots of better choices nearby, just book in advance.

They changed their hours after confirming our reservation for a large family holiday gathering. We had to find an additional location last minute and were lucky to have received a warm welcome and top service and food from the staff at Redstone next door.

Let me start by saying the food was very good. We looked the restaurant up online so we could check out the menus. We didn’t see anywhere that said it was only brunch on Saturday and Sunday. When we arrived, though, it was a brunch menu. Ok, fine. We made reservations online for 1:30. After a text and email from Open Table to confirm, we got a phone call from the restaurant saying they close at 2. We should try to come earlier but should still be able to be seated at 1:30. (?) We arrived and ordered. You would think they were in a rush since they were closing soon, but service was slow. They got two orders wrong and forgot about he only drink ordered by the table. Will not be going back.

The Thanksgiving buffet was underwhelming. The food choices were spread out in such a way that your meats were on the completely opposite side of the room than the side dishes. Food was just ok, and lukewarm. Dessert offerings were sparse but the peach cobbler was good. Would not pay $57+ for that meal again.
