Saverina is a neighborhood restaurant in the heart of Belleview Station. Chef Christian Graves brings the spirit of Italian cooking to your plate by way of local, seasonal and sustainable ingredients. Our wine list, with a focus on Italian labels and California reds, is the highlight of our beverage program, but we can’t help but champion our thoughtful selection of local beers, classic cocktails, and aperitifs. In our lively dining room, we celebrate the beauty of simplicity—that of delicious food and drinks made with intention, warm and welcoming hospitality, and friends gathered together to enjoy it all.

Went for valentines Day. First course was excellent the main courses were just ok. The sides and the flavors were good but the protein was disappointing. The cheesecake was good but the chocolate torte was not great

Server & bar staff were great! They gave great menu recommendations & the drinks were spot on. Beautiful ambiance & soft lighting made for a great dining experience. The butternut squash agnolotti & foccacia bread was delicious!

Staff failed to mention that they were out of sweetbreads for the tuna tartare appetizer. When asked if there was an adjustment for the missing component, I was simply told NO. Basically you are expected to order the appetizer with less food and pay the same. The financier dessert was ok though the figs were bitter. Beef short rib pasta was good, but the protein ratio was way off. Sensing a trend here… pool boy cocktail was tasty if you like dirty martinis.

Portions are small. Not very much sauce and it took 2hrs for an order of focaccia and a main entree. It was just ok

We really thought we would enjoy our experience at Saverina and we were excited to try a new place. We gave it every chance, and it seemed at every turn, we were disappointed. We were comfortably seated, in the attractive dining room and service began with some tastings of wines and beers since they were all new to us and we wanted to be sure we liked it at these prices. We made our selections and then moved on to appetizers. The Saverina pizza was very cheesy— positively dripping and slathering all over the plate. It had to be eaten with a fork. It tasted good, but it was more like fondue. Salads arrived, and the chop chop was good. The mozzarella tomato salad, overly seasoned with chili and too much salt was so bad we sent it back. The mozzarella was thick and dry and tasteless and the seasonings completely killed it. Onto entrées with mixed results. The brisket Ragu was just OK. The chicken looked like it was going to be great and was sadly overcooked and dried out. Since we’d already sent back a salad, we didn’t have the heart to send back the chicken. Giving it one last chance we ordered the cherry Gelato with almond cake and a decaf coffee that was just OK. The cake was so dry and hard. You could barely cut it with a fork and we joked that it was a brick All in all a crushing disappointment— we will not be back. The cake was so dry and hard, you could barely cut it with a fork and we joked that it was a brick! There’s so much opportunity for this to be a great experience and unfortunately it failed at every turn!

What a pleasant surprise. Happened upon this restaurant to celebrate a friends birthday and it surpassed our expectations. The food was fantastic, our server was great and the restaurant itself was lovely. The prices were reasonable so all around a good experience.
